Dr. AnnMarie Thomas is an Associate Professor at the University of St. Thomas and previously served as the Founding Executive Director of the Maker Education Initiative. Her teaching and research focuses on engineering design, particularly as it relates to PK-12 education. She is the mother of two young makers. AnnMarie Thomas has engineering degrees from MIT and Caltech, as well as a professional certificate in Sustainable Design from the Minneapolis College of Art and Design.
