NEW BRIGHTON History Museum Open

This is a great all-ages outing because, after touring the little museum and even climbing aboard the real train caboose, the whole family can find something fun to do in Long Lake Regional Park (swimming, picnicking, biking, hitting the playground – you name it!) Museum open ongoing weekends starting from 1-4pm. Admission is always free.

STILLWATER Storytime Trolley

217 Main St N, Stillwater, MN 55082
This has got to be one of our favorite summer storytimes to promote. The big red trolley scoops up families at Valley Bookseller in the charming St Croix River town of Stillwater and shuttles them around while stories are read onboard. Your child’s ticket includes a treat from Candyland sweet shop. The event is very popular and will definitely sell out – so book your slot quick! June 20, 2026 and Saturdays through October. $11/pp.

ST CROIX FALLS Fawn-Doe-Rosa Wildlife Park

Technically these are “Wisconsin Farm Babies” but just as awwwe-inspiring, sweet and cuddly as the Minnesota variety. Just across the St Croix River border you can welcome critters like deer, goats, cows, pigs, sheep, rabbits, fox, mink, wolves, moose, otters, beavers and hedgehogs. Consider stopping in as part of a weekend day trip to kid-friendly Taylors Falls on the Minnesota side. All weekend, $11.50/adults, $10.50/kids.
