Watch the fireworks light up over Blaine for the Fourth of July. Free parking available in the National Sports Center lot.
FOREST LAKE 4th of July
Lakeside Memorial Park, 95 East Broadway Ave, Forest Lake, MN, 55025
The city’s Fourth of July celebration traditionally features a carnival & entertainment. On the 4th, the parade starts at 10am and fireworks at 10pm.
HUDSON Booster Days
This Saturday is the big Booster Days parade (down 2nd Street, 11am), fireworks on Sunday and a carnival both days. Kids 15 & under can join in the fishing contest at Lakefront Park. July 4-5, 2026.
LAKE ELMO 4th of July Kids Parade
Lake Elmo Lions Park, 11320 Upper 33rd St N, Lake Elmo, MN 55042
The parade lineup starts at 9:30am at Laverne and finishes at Lions Park. Enjoy pre-parade activities including crafts, face painting, free flags and temporary tattoos. Post-parade activities include ice cream, dunk tank, minnow races and a water station.Â
STILLWATER 4th of July Celebration

Marvel at the huge fireworks display over the St. Croix River plus live music and fun around town — ride the historic trolley, grab a sweet in the ice cream shops and visit the riverside park.Â

4th of July fireworks cap off the city of White Bear Lake’s Manitou Days festival. In addition to the spectacular fireworks over the lake is the annual plane flyover, live music, food and fun for the whole family.

Lake Owasso County Park makes up the isthmus between Shoreview’s Lake Wabasso and the larger Lake Owasso. The tidy beach is on the latter. Across the street is a sweet little nature playground. It would never be advised to run between the two, so enjoy them in phases. As you can see from the picture, parking is very close to the sand and there are picnic tables scattered near the shore.

NEW BRIGHTON History Museum OpenÂ

Nestled within LONG LAKE REGIONAL PARK is the NEW BRIGHTON HISTORY CENTER MUSEUM. The restored train depot is definitely worth a whistlestop during the summer – your kids can even climb aboard the caboose! You’ll find a whole afternoon’s worth of entertainment at the park – one of the area’s best beaches, several playgrounds, plenty of space to picnic and a trail around the lake for a hike or bike ride. Depot is open this weekend, 1-4pm. FREE.

WHITE BEAR LAKE Discovery Hollow at Tamarack Nature Center

STILLWATER Storytime Trolley

One of our favorite summer storytimes to promote! The big red trolley picks up families at Valley Bookseller in the charming river town of Stillwater and shuttles them off to Pioneer Park while stories are read onboard. Your child’s ticket includes a treat from Candyland. The event is very popular and will definitely sell out – so book your slot quick! July 4, 2026 and Saturdays through October. $11/pp.

Roseville’s CENTRAL PARK is host to live music at the amphitheater most Sunday nights of the summer. Even if your kids can’t sit through the tunes there’s so much to explore at the park: walking paths and biking trails, a lake and playgrounds. Come hungry; food trucks are onsite each weekend.
