TWIN CITIES FALL FESTIVALS IN SEPTEMBER 2022

September Weekends, 2022: Minnesota Renaissance Festival

3525 145th St W, Shakopee, MN 55379
Explore the Fairy Wing Forest and Mermaid Cove, take in a maypole dance, craft a wand or pirate hat, learn to juggle and much more. Open weekends 9am-7pm. $13.50-$22.50.

September 6-10, 2022: Burnsville Festival Fire Muster

Medallion Hunt starts Tuesday, City block party Wednesday evening, car show Thursday, Festival Friday & Saturday. Don’t miss the fire truck demonstrations, annual community and fire truck parade and fireworks on Saturday. FREE. 

September 7-11, 2022: Inver Grove Heights Days

Community Family Fun Night, kids treasure hunt, grand parade and fireworks. FREE admission. $3 Button required for many events, including Family Fun Night and Kids Treasure Hunt. 

September 9-10, 2022: St Paul Oktoberfest

Twin Cities Germanic-American Institute, 301 Summit Ave, St Paul, MN 55102
Two days of music, food and German culture. FREE admission, food available for purchase.

September 9-11, 2022: James J. Hill Days

Carnival, logrolling, parade, and fireworks. FREE. 

September 10, 2022: Open Streets West Broadway

A portion of West Broadway in Minneapolis will be closed to traffic and open to people to explore their community. 11am-5pm. 

September 10, 2022: St. Louis Park Art Fair 

SLP Rec Center, 3700 Monterey Blvd, St Louis Park MN 55416
Shop local art, enjoy food trucks, entertainment, demos, and community art projects.  Free.

September 10, 2022: Minneapolis Monarch Festival

Lake Nokomis, 49th & Woodlawn
Art-making activities, guided nature walks, music & monarch exhibits. 10am-4pm, FREE. 

September 10, 2022: Mac-Grove Fest 

Edgcumbe Recreation Center, 320 Griggs St S, St Paul, MN 55105
Music and dance, food trucks, arts & crafts, and more. 11am-4pm. FREE.

September 10, 2022: Fiesta Latina 

797 7th St E, St Paul MN 55106
This family-friendly community festival celebrating Latin culture through arts, health & wellness, fitness, food and entertainment conveniently falls the first weekend of Hispanic Heritage Month.

September 10-11, 2022: CountryFest 

St Patrick’s Catholic Church, 19921 Nightingale Street NW, Oak Grove, MN 55011
Entertainment, kids games (Saturday 2-5pm) and food. Youth block party Friday evening. FREE. 

Sept 10, 2022: Victoria Volksfest

September 10-11, 2022: Edina Fall into the Arts Festival

A nice excuse to enjoy the outdoors while the weather is still nice while viewing works by local and regional artists. FREE. 

September 10-11, 2022: Grape Stomp Festival

St Croix Vineyards, 6428 Manning Ave N, Stillwater, MN 55082
Grape stomping competitions for both children and adults, live music and tours. FREE. 

September 10-25, 2022: Eagan Art Block 

Kid and family-friendly art activities, over 30 events in the 15 days. FREE. 

September 16-17, 2022: Bayport Derby Days

Lakeside Park, 95 Central Avenue, Bayport MN
Activities at this fall festival include the Duck Derby, community kickball, kid-friendly activities, bonfire and ice cream social, fireworks over the St. Croix River.

September 16-17, 2022: Excelsior Art & Apples on the Lake

Get creative in the Kids Art Tent. Listen to local music and try out regional food vendors. Tots will love the Happy Apple Kids Corner, parents may like the artisan vendors, music and street dance. 9am-10pm, FREE.

September weekends: Rockpoint Church Corn Maze

The full corn maze is back this year and comes with pedal cars, the corn cannon, and a wagon ride. September 17 & 24 and October 1 & 8, 2022. 11am-4pm. FREE.

September 17-October 30, 2022: Twin Cities Harvest Festival & Maze 

8001 109th Ave N, Brooklyn Park, MN 55445
This destination festival includes a mega corn maze (and a mini one for kids!), corn pit, petting zoo and hayrides. Additional activities available for an extra fee. Open weekends 10am-6pm, $12/pp.

September 17-October 30, 2022: Sever’s Fall Festival

A full lineup of fun – obstacle course, corn maze, petting zoo, magic shows, zip line, playground and jumping pillow; additional activities extra. Open Fri-Sun & MEA Weekend, $19/pp.

September 17, 2022: Blaine World Fest

One of Family Fun Twin Cities favorite annual events! Meet local children’s book authors, hear them read from their books and purchase a signed copy. There are also games, activities and art projects and it is always a beautiful drive.

September 24, 2022: Fall Raptor Release

The Raptor Center releases rehabbed birds at 11am & 2pm plus wagon rides, kids activities and educational displays. 10am-3pm, FREE admission. CANCELLED FOR 2022; LOOK FOR IT TO RETURN IN 2023.

September 24-25, 2022: Afton Art in the Park 

Art vendors and free art pavilion for kids with fall crafts and spin art. 10am-5pm Saturday & 11am-4pm Sunday, FREE admission.

Emma Krumbees Scarecrow Festival 

Scarecrow displays, rides, food, weekend entertainment, tractor-pulled wagons to the orchard and pumpkin patch. Admission is $6.50/pp.

Fulton Fall Festival

Admission includes hayrides, run of the playground and tire hill, petting farm, magician, music and other live entertainment. Weekends only, 10am-6pm. $6-$8/pp.

October 1-2, 2022: Minnesota Renaissance Festival

October 1, 2022: Open Streets Minnehaha

Minnehaha Avenue in Minneapolis will close to street traffic so people can explore their community in person. 11am-5pm.

Oktoberfest at Midtown Global Market

Pop-up German entertainment (music & food) and kids activities (balloon artist, storyteller & crafts). (Oct 1, 2021) 12-4pm, FREE.

Maplewood Mall Flannel Fest 

Paint a mini pumpkin and play some fall-themed games. Wear your favorite flannel if you’d like. (Oct 2, 2021, 1-3pm, FREE.)

In the meantime, three Open Streets dates will go forward in 2021 – West Broadway on 9/11, Lyndale on 10/10 and Minnehaha on 10/24.
