Lowry Maple Syrup Fest

Location: Lowry Nature Center, 7025 Victoria Drive, Victoria, MN , 55386At Lowry Nature Center’s Maple Syrup Fest, you get to help make maple sugar and syrup, watch a tree being tapped and learn about this tradition. Minneapolis' St Patrick's Day Parade

The 57th annual Minneapolis St Patrick’s Day Parade kicks off 6pm. The parade route will be from Nicollet Ave and 6th St to Nicollet Ave and 12th St, downtown.
Landmark St Patrick's Day Celebration

St Paul is enthusiastically known for celebrating St Patrick’s Day; the St Patrick’s Day Celebration at Landmark Center is one of two annual events that showcase stirring Irish music and dance performances (the second being the Irish Day of Dance on March 16th). Not Irish? No problem. Everyone is welcome to enjoy the show. Admission is $7-$9 per person, tickets available online or at the door.
St Paul's St Patrick's Day Parade (FREE)

St Patrick’s Day is traditionally a time for the Irish in St Paul to show their pride. The parade route starts at Rice Park (5th St & Market St) and ends near Mears Park (5th St & Sibley St), traveling along 5th Street.
Maple Fest at the Arborteum

Maplefest is one of those extra special times to visit: reserve your space for the pancake breakfast, take a scavenger hunt around the grounds and plan to spend time visiting the Maple Sugar House for demonstrations. Breakfast price includes Arboretum admission.
Eastman Maple Syrup Festival

Location: Eastman Nature Center, 13351 Elm Creek Rd, Maple Grove, MN, 55369Eastman Nature Center is operated by Three Rivers Parks – a collection of park locations that traditionally offer an abundance of inexpensive, family-friendly opportunities to learn about maple syrup. Eastman usually overflows with maple syruping programs including workshops on how to make your own, naturalist programs for families and full moon programs at night.
At Eastman’s Maple Syrup Festival you’ll visit the park’s sugarbush, collect sap, watch it cook and enjoy syrup sundaes. Cost is $6 per person, registration required.
StoryFest 2026 (FREE)

Location: Bloomington Center for the Arts, 1800 W Old Shakopee Rd, Bloomington, MN, 55431Families are invited to attend StoryFest at the Bloomington Center for the Arts. Look for sessions for all ages, including interactive workshops and open mic for young storytellers.
Families can also explore information tables, grab a snack at a food trucks and learn more about the story arts. This event is best for grade school and older. Some activities may have a registration requirement, but cost is free to attend.
Wargo Maple Syrup Festival (FREE)

Minneapolis Arbor Day (FREE)

Earth Day Birding Festival

Location: Carpenter St. Croix Valley Nature Center, 12805 St. Croix Trail, Hastings, MN, 55033Carpenter Nature Center celebrates its annual Birding Festival on Earth Day Weekend. Kids 10-18 can join a free Youth Birding Competition with prizes for the winners. Other diversions at the festival include live raptor presentations, a kids birdfeeder build and a guided birding field trip opportunities. Cost is $5/pp or $15/includes a box lunch. Robbinsdale Arbor Day Celebration (FREE)

Eden Prairie Arbor Day Celebration

Minneapolis Mayday Parade & Festival (FREE)

Location: MayDay Parade, Bloomington Avenue, 28th Street to 34th Street, Minneapolis, MN, 55407Powderhorn neighborhood’s annual MayDay parade will feature puppets, community-made floats and process down Bloomington Avenue before ending at Powderhorn Park for an all-day celebration. Cost is free.

Shepherd's Harvest Sheep & Wool Festival
