March 17, 2023: St. Patrick’s Day Irish Celebrations 

Landmark Center, 75 Fifth Street West, Saint Paul, MN 55102
The traditional Irish Celebration at Landmark Center returns. There is an additional IRISH DAY OF DANCE March 19. Both events charge $7-$9 admission.

March 17, 2023: St. Paul’s St Patrick’s Day Parade

St Patrick’s Day is traditionally a time for the Irish in St Paul to show their deep roots and pride. Downtown St Paul, 12pm.

March 17, 2023: Minneapolis’ St. Patrick’s Day Parade 

40th Avenue NE & Van Buren St., Columbia Heights MN
The 54th annual parade kicks off at the above intersection at 6pm. Blarney Blast after-party to follow with Irish dancers, music and a buffet. Entry into the parade is $25.

Spring Babies 

Twin Cities Festival, 8001 109th Avenue North, Brooklyn Park, MN 55445
Introduced in 2021, there was NO cover charge to enter the farm babies festival. Instead, there was a small fee for each activity you choose to do. A wristband to see and hold the baby animals will include the kids play area (corn pit, bale maze, playground equipment, pedal tractors) and a hayride.

April 22, 2023: Wargo Nature Center Family Earth Day Celebration

Wargo Nature Center, 7701 Main St, Lino Lakes, MN 55038
This free family Earth Day celebration comes complete with a bouncy house, refreshments, and a new walk-thru Sound Garden concert. Make your own earth art project to take home, enjoy entertainment and activities, and explore the trails in the spring weather. FREE.

April 22, 2022: Harriet Alexander Nature Center Earth Day Celebration

Harriet Alexander Nature Center, 2520 North Dale St., Roseville, MN, 55113
Celebrate the nature center’s 32nd birthday with activity stations, live music, guided boardwalk tours and birthday cake. FREE. 10am-2pm.

April 22, 2023: Earth Day Youth Birding Festival

Carpenter St Croix Valley Nature Center, 12805 St. Croix Trail S., Hastings, MN 55033
Kids can participate in the annual birding competition. Learn more here. 

April 29, 2023: Minneapolis Arbor Day Festival  

North Loop neighborhood, North 3rd Street between 5th and 6th Avenues
Tree activities, art, music and food. 4-8pm.

April 29, 2022: Arbor Day Walk & Green Fair

Staring Lake & Round Lake Parks, Eden Prairie
Participants will also receive seed packets to take home and plant. 10am-1pm, FREE.

May 7, 2023: Powderhorn MayDay Parade & Festival

Powderhorn Park, 3400 15th Ave. S, Minneapolis, MN 55407
Community organizations such as ArtCars, ArtBikes and Wearable Contraptions, Battle Train, Stilt Walkers and Cardboard Camp Artists of Minnesota have teamed up to revive the annual MayDay Parade at Powderhorn Park. Don’t miss this spring tradition!
12-4pm, FREE.

May 12-14, 2023: Shepherd’s Harvest Sheep & Wool Festival 

Washington County Fairgrounds, 12300 N. 40th St., Lake Elmo, MN 55042
Competitions, sheep shearing demos and animal encounters. $5/pp.

May 19-21, 2023: Art-A-Whirl Weekend

Northeast Minneapolis Arts District
Individual artists and galleries are back showcasing their finest for your family to enjoy. Find a map here. FREE. 

May 20, 2023: Dodge Nature Center Rock the Barn

Main Property, Farm Entrance 3, 1701 Charlton Street, West St. Paul, MN 55118
Farm animals in the barnyard, hayrides around the nature center and live bands on the lawn. 3-6pm. $8/pp advance, $10/door.

May 20, 2023: Hopkins Mainstreet Day 

Arts and craft fair on the main drag plus live entertainment, food vendors and activities for kids. 9am-4pm, FREE admission.

May 20, 2023: Eidem Farm’s Spring on the Farm 

Historic Eidem Farm, 4345 101st Ave N, Brooklyn Park, MN 55443
Take a tour of the site while seeing period demonstrations, greet farm babies, help in the garden and more. 11am-2pm.

May 20, 2023: Wayzata Spring Splash

Park Plaza, downtown Wayzata
Summer camp games with the YMCA, outdoor activities with Three Rivers Parks and Minnesota DNR, story and art activities. 11am-1pm, FREE.

May 20, 2023: Belwin Bison Festival

Belwin Conservancy, 15601 Hudson Rd. N, Lakeland, MN
Activities for all ages including eco-art, food trucks, music and the always-exciting bison herd release at noon. 10am-2pm. $10/car.

May 21, 2023: Holz Farm Spring Festival

Holz Farm Park, Holz Farm, 4665 Manor Drive
Old-fashioned farm activities, including a hayride. 11am-3pm. $3/pp, tickets available online or at the gate.

May 28, 2023: Immigrant for a Day 

Gammelgarden Museum, 20880 Olinda Trail N, Scandia, MN 55073
1850’s immigrant family activities and tours. 1-4pm, FREE admission.

May Festivals Not Yet Announced or Cancelled in 2023

Festival of Nations

The festival presented authentic performances, cuisine, demos & exhibits from 40 different cultures. It has been cancelled 2021-2023 in order to revamp the festival for future enjoyment.

  1. Fyi. The web site for the Blaine activity on the 20th says they are no longer doing the $7 punch cards.
