You can also download free tickets to see a sequel to the Wizard of Oz. Or, Hey it’s May already — attend the May Day Parade with In the Heart of the Beast Puppet Theatre!
FRIDAY NIGHTThe Tempest Capri Theater, 2027 West Broadway, Minneapolis, MN 55411 Friday, May 2, 2014; 7:00 p.m.
The Capri After School Theatre is winding up their short run of William Shakespeare’s “The Tempest” with its last performance on Friday night at 7:00 p.m. The really great thing about this production is that it is performed by students in modern English. It’s a great way to introduce your kids to Shakespeare without having to whisper translations to them through the whole thing. The story is also abridged – making it a little easier for little ones to sit through.
Home Depot Kids WorkshopHome Depot Stores Everywhere Saturday, May 3, 2014; 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
This month you and your kids can build a flower planter at the Home Depot Kids Workshop. Wouldn’t this make a great mother’s day gift? This program is recommended for children ages 5 to 12, but, Gianna has written about her family’s experience, and some of her kids were younger. They’ll need more help. Pre-Registration is recommended for this outing.

Plus — this is the good part – you and your kids will be served lunch – a hot dog, chips, and pop. Just show up and register before 11:00 a.m.
