bellSaturday with a Scientist: Ready, Set, BLAST OFF! at the Bell

Saturday, November 16: 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.,
free with museum admission: $4-$6/pp

James Flaten, of NASA’s MN Space Grant Consortium and Department of Aerospace Engineering and Mechanics at the University of Minnesota will be at the Bell this weekend.  Activities for this family day will revolve around aerospace engineering and at the end of the day, there will be a rocket launch.  Plus, you get to see a hovercraft!

Are you ready for Christmas?  You can start the countdown this weekend with a musical performance by the ASI Cloudberries women’s chorus in the decorated Turnblad Mansion Grand Hall.   While you are there,  pop into the Studio Classroom from 1 to 3 p.m. to make a Nordic craft.

Wong Kids is closing after this weekend.  If you think you might want to see it, read my review HERE.  I sent a very tired little girl and a crabby husband to this and they came back excited and energized and really happy to have spent a daddy/daughter date night.

This week’s Show is based on the Children’s book, On The Day You Were Born.  There is a puppet show and a make-and-take craft.  Both are family activities offered in our classroom.  No reservations are necessary but seating for the shows and workshops is limited.
