The Phipps Center for the Arts in downtown Hudson Wisconsin is half an hour east of the Twin Cities on I-94. The building overlooks Lakefront Park on the St. Croix National Scenic Riverway. The center offers performances, art exhibitions, classes for adults and children, and summer camps. It strives to make the arts accessible to everyone. The theater produces four children’s productions each year. The spring and fall shows cast middle school students (grades 7-9), and the winter production is by the high school students (grades 10-12). Each December, the theater also produces an inter-generational holiday show. Children aged 4+ will enjoy these shows. Find upcoming shows on our Performing Arts calendar. Children and adults can take classes in art, theatre, dance and movement. In the summer kids can participate in full and half-day camps in drawing, painting, sculpture, pottery, art & nature, and more, as well as theater productions and dance. Classes and camps are available for kids as young as age 4 through adult. Find updated information on camps in our annual summer camp guide. The art galleries exhibit diverse range of art. Call the box office for open viewing hours. Articles Featuring Phipps Center for the Arts:
