2026 Library summer reading programs
The chance to relax with a book instead of homework is a highlight of summer for my kids. Kids in Dakota & Washington counties can pop into their local branches to sign up for their summer reading program to earn perks for keeping busy with books.
DAKOTA COUNTY Summer Discovery
Starting June 1​, head to your nearest Dakota County Library location to pick up a summer activity log. ​Complete your activities and return log​ by August 31 for a free book!
WASHINGTON COUNTY Summer Adventure at Your Library
Open to kids up to age 11 this summer grab your game card in person at a Washington County library (or download from the website) starting June 1 and complete the challenges by August 15 to earn your rewards.
