EAGAN The Blast Indoor Playground

The Blast is not as elaborate as some of the other metro-area indoor playgrounds, but you can’t beat the price ($8/child). And it’s got a pretty cool space theme going on, too. Kids can pretend to be astronauts as they climb through the tunnels.
FARMINGTON Dakota County Fair

The county fair opens today with traditional events like 4-H shows, lumberjack and axe throwing shows, family-friendly music, daily tractor parade, and the chance to step back in time at Dakota City Heritage Village. Fair runs August 10-15, 2026. Free admission; parking $10/car.

WOODBURY Madison’s Place Playground

Located on the grounds of the Sports Center and next to Madison’s Place inclusive playground, this new Woodbury splash pad features dumping buckets and “flower showers” on one side and an area geared towards younger children on the other with smaller bubblers. Bring a picnic for the grassy shaded lawn behind the restroom building. Daily 9am-9pm.
