Description
Saint Croix Vineyards’ annual Grape Stomp Festival is free and open to the whole family. Competitions for both kids and adults will be held three times a day and prizes will be awarded to those with the best grape-stomping style (as determined by audience applause). Throughout the day relax and enjoy live music, take in a tour of the winery and get a free massage. Picnics are welcome, but if you prefer to be spontaneous, grab some food from a food truck. Fall is the BEST Time to Visit St. Croix Vineyard
Whether or not we actually stomp the grapes, the idea of a picnic and vineyard tour along with live music sounds like a really pleasant weekend afternoon spent with the family. Despite the sophisticated image of a vineyard, St. Croix has a reputation for being kid friendly. The property is beautiful and includes a small playground with a couple climbing structures and a little petting zoo area featuring goats.
The vineyard is most fun in the spring, summer and fall because of the outdoor fun. With fall being the best time to double your fun. A visit to Aamodt’s Apple Farm, next door to St Croix Vineyards can include a ride on the Honeycrisp Express, a visit to the goats, and a wagon ride to pick your own fresh apples off the tree.
Fall activities at the orchard begin in early September. Please check the Aamodt’s Apple Farm website for the picking variety and hours before heading out.
