11/18/17-12/31/17: Hometown for the Holidays | Stillwater | Family highlights: Main Street lights up with Christmas decorations and traditional events for a month-long celebration from November to New Year’s Eve. FREE.

11/24/17-12/23/17: Holidazzle | Loring Park, Minneapolis, 5-9pm | Family highlights: Holidazzle offers free admission to all, vendors, activities, food and fireworks. Festival runs Thurs 5-9pm, Fri 5-10pm, Sat 11am-10pm & Sun 11am-7pm.

11/24/17-11/26/17: Christmas in Excelsior | Family highlights: The annual 3-day Christkindlsmarkt is packed with a grand parade, children’s activities in KidsWorld, a North Pole Trolley, music, food and loads of other traditional activities. FREE.

11/24/17-11/26/17: Taylor Falls Lighting Festival | Family highlights: Parade, Christmas Crusader puppet show, vespers, poetry slam, Concert. FREE. (Other activities have fees).

11/24/17: Light Up the Lake Celebration | Wayzata | 4-7pm | Family highlights: Tree lighting ceremony, pictures with Santa, a candy cane hunt for the kids and a parade of lights. FREE.

12/1/17-12/2/17: Afton Village Holiday | Fri 5-9pm, Sat 9am-4pm | Family highlights: The village Christmas tree is lit Friday eve; both days bring horse and wagon rides, carolers and festive activities throughout local shops. FREE.

12/1/17-12/2/17: Holiday Fest | Shakopee | Fri 6-8pm, Sat 10am-1pm | Family highlights: Carolers, visits with Santa, a tree lighting ceremony and fireworks. FREE.

12/1/17-12/3/17: Seward Winter Frolic | Minneapolis | Family highlights: Neighborhood businesses exhibiting arts (including a free Studio Art Day at Articulture), food and drink samples and specials, tours and demos. FREE.

12/2/17: Holiday Harbor Lights & Tree Lighting | Downtown Blaine | Family highlights: Community tree lighting, visits with Santa, free refreshments and a display of lighted and decorated boats at Blaine Harbor Visitor Dock.

12/2/17: Holiday on Main | Lakeville, 9am-2pm | Family highlights: Find Santa and Mrs. Claus, hop a trolley ride, take in a musical performance and more along Lakeville’s main drag. FREE.

12/2/17: Shop Excelsior | Family highlights: The big tree lights up at 7pm on Water Street, plus sleigh rides, Santa and carolers lend a holiday air. FREE.

12/2/17: Anoka Hometown Holiday | 3-7pm | Family highlights: The tree will be lit, the carols will be sung, and Santa will be taking visitors. FREE.

12/2/17: Delano Old-Fashioned Christmas | 8:30am-9pm | Family highlights: Breakfast with Santa, Girl Scout Santa Shop, Teddy Bear Tea, Holiday Character Hunt, music and Santa parade. FREE.

12/9/17: Plymouth Old Fashioned Christmas | Plymouth Creek Park | 2-5pm | Family highlights: Visit Santa, his missus, the elves and his reindeer. Catch a hayride, cookies and holiday tale time. FREE.

TBA: Carriage Rides & Lighting Tour | St Anthony Village | 4-8pm | Family highlights: Free carriage rides, treats, crafting, a visit with Santa, and a chance to explore the local shops.
