Kicking off with some neighborhood fetes and culminating with summer’s fair-well bash, August is ripe with family festivities:

8/2/19-8/4/19 Uptown Art Fair | Minneapolis | Family highlights: Stop by the Family Imagination Station hosted by Northern Clay Center. FREE

ROAD TRIP: 8/2/19-8/4/19 Day Out With Thomas | Duluth | Tickets:  $20/pp | Family highlights: Children take a ride with Thomas the Tank Engine, meet the railway controller Sir Topham Hatt, have fun in the Imagination Station, explore the Railroad Museum, and much more! 

8/3/19: Owamni Falling Water Festival | Father Hennepin Bluff Park  | Family highlights: This free and family-friendly event celebrates indigenous Minnesota culture with music, art, food, and more.

8/3/19: Victoria Volksfest | Victoria | Family highlights: Music, arts & crafts booths, and fireworks. FREE

8/4/19-8/12/19: New Brighton Stockyard Days | Family highlights: Family activities in Long Lake Regional Park, a kiddie parade, petting zoo, and fireworks. FREE.

8/7/19: Lake Hiawatha Neighborhood Festival | Lake Hiawatha Park, Minneapolis | 5-8pm Family highlights: Free canoe rides, pony rides, kids games, face painting, hair painting, and Sports 5-in-1 Combination Bouncer, the wading pool will have an inflatable slide! FREE.

8/9/19-8/11/19: Irish Fair of Minnesota | Harriet Island Regional Park, St Paul | Family highlights: The Children’s Area of the Fair allows kids to meet Irish dogs, explore Irish instruments, take an Irish dance lesson, and craft  in the Art Tent. FREE

8/9/19-8/11/19: Twin Cities Polish Festival | Family highlights: Musical and dance entertainment, traditional foods, Polish fun! FREE

8/9/19-8/11/19: Rockford River Days | Family highlights: Carnival, fireworks & Grand Parade

8/10/19: Fiesta Latina | CLUES St Paul  | CLUES, St Paul | 11am-4pm | Family highlights: A family-friendly community festival celebrating Latin culture through arts, health & wellness, fitness, food and entertainment. FREE

8/10/19: IndiaFest | Minnesota State Capitol | 11am-9pm |  Family highlights: Experience India in a day, parade, live music, children’s activities. FREE
