Burnsville Party On the Plaza (FREE)

Family friendly: Games, live entertainment, vendors and, of course, the Best Twin Cities Splash Pad is at Nicollet Commons Park! 5-9pm. 

Open Streets Minneapolis - Lyndale (FREE)

Date: 06/07/2026 11:00 am - 5:00 pm

During Minneapolis Open Streets, to encourage the exploration of local businesses, the noted stretch of roadway will be blocked off to traffic and made completely pedestrian and small-wheels friendly. Partake in family activities and programming and choose from a lineup of food vendors.

Washington County Fair

Washington County Fair includes exhibits, activities, a parade and carnival.  Wednesday 7am-9pm; Thursday – 7am-10pm; Sunday 7am-8pm. $12/pp ages 8+. Free for ages 7 and under. July 29 – August 2, 2026

Hanover Harvest Festival

Hanover’s Harvest Festival celebrates the turning of the season with tons of old-fashioned kids carnival games (for a small fee), a mobile video game truck, vintage tractor shows, petting zoo, garden tractor pull, fireworks and lots more.

Minnesota Fringe

Irish Fair of Minnesota

Date: 08/07/2026 - 08/09/2026 10:00 am - 7:00 pm

Meet Irish dogs, explore Irish instruments, take an Irish dance lesson, and craft in the Art Tent. Friday: 3pm to 11pm; Saturday: 10am – 11pm; Sunday: 10am – 7pm. Admission: Adults $25; Teens 13-17 $15; Kids 12 & under free.

Eagan Food Truck Festival

Over 20 food trucks, live music and a beer garden for the grown ups. Drop In. All Ages. FREE admission, food available to purchase. 

Newport Pioneer Day

Date: 08/08/2026 9:30 am - 4:00 pm

Pioneer Day is Newport’s summer festival! A fun Saturday includes the parade followed by live music and entertainment.  

North Hudson Pepper Fest

Pepper Fest is North Hudson’s annual summer soiree! The festival includes a Grand Parade, inflatables, games, live music, and bingo. Buttons are required for entry: $4-$5/ages 13+ (under 12 admitted free).  

Vadnais Heights Days

Vadnais Heights Days is the community’s classic summer festival. Expect plenty of family fun: kids games, bounce houses, live music, dunk tank, fireworks and the Grande Parade. See our full schedule.

Mounds View Festival in the Park 

Date: 08/21/2026 - 08/22/2026 10:00 am - 10:00 pm

Mounds View’s summer Festival In the Park includes a Friday evening parade and splash pad party at City Hall Park. Saturday, the fun moves to Silver View Park with kids activities, live entertainment, a car show and touch-a-truck, and fireworks to cap it off. 

Carpenter Art Festival (FREE)

Art, music, live animals, nature and food vendors in one family-friendly festival just south of the Wisconsin state line. Free. Drop In. All Ages.

Minnesota State Fair

Date: 08/27/2026 - 09/07/2026 7:00 am - 9:00 pm
