Landmarket Garage Sale
11:30 am to 1:30 pm; Musser Cortile
Landmarket gift shop is cleaning out its closets!  Garage sale prices on great stuff every Wednesday in July while inventory lasts.Music in the Café: Café Mélange

12 pm; Musser Cortile,  Free & open to the public
Music in the Café continues with a performance by Café Mélange. Café Mélange is comprised of husband and wife duo Brian and Sheralyn Barnes. Their eclectic variety of music is performed on both the guitar and mandolin, ranges from classic Americana to French, Italian and Latin and is said to transport listeners to another time and place.

Calling all wizards, witches, and muggles!  You are invited to the Red Balloon School of Witchcraft and Wizardry to celebrate the birthday of the Chosen One himself, Harry Potter!  Test your Harry Potter knowledge in our trivia contest, practice your wizarding skills with themed activities, take home a Hogwarts craft, and munch on refreshments from Honeyduke’s.  Don’t forget to wear your dress robes (or other garb) and enter the costume contest.  We solemnly swear that we are up to having a blast!


 Ordway Summer Dance Series: Ballroom

6 pm; Rice Park,  Free & open to the public
Ordway’s Summer Dance Series is a weekly social dance event offering free dancing and live music in Rice Park on Thursday evenings during the summer. This evening’s focus will be Ballroom with dance lessons by Cinema Ballroom and live music by Jerry O’Hagan & his Orchestra. For more information click here.


Animals: Our Fascinating Neighbors
Friday, July 25 at 11 a.m.

This performance is a great afternoon activity for the little ones! Bring a blanket and a picnic lunch to enjoy a program full of animal-themed music, including a performance of The Nightingale by dancers from the Lundstrum Center for the Performing Arts.

Red Balloon Bookshop

Red Balloon welcomes Newbery Honor-winning author Margi Preus in a celebration of books and reading!  Margi will share her newest book, West of the Moon, as well as Shadow on the Mountain, a Summer Reading Program selection, and Heart of a Samurai, a Maud Hart Lovelace Award nominee and 2011 Newbery Honor Book.  Come for activities, refreshments, and a lot of fun! Spy activities included!

Margi Preus is an acclaimed children’s author and playwright.  She has traveled the globe to research her novels and has made many friends along the way.  Margi lives in Duluth, Minnesota.
