10+ Halloween Happenings that will take you through the last two weeks of October!

Halloween Extravaganza
@ Dodge Nature Center, 1701 Charlton St., West St. Paul

When: Friday, Oct. 23 • 5:30-10pm   
Cost: $9/pp all ages, or $6/pp for members. Pre-registration closes on Thursday, Oct. 22 at 12 noon
Details: Choose the friendly trick or treat trail (5:30-9:30pm), or, if you dare, the scary trail (6:45-9:45pm) along the ghostly pond and haunted prairie. Family activities throughout the evening include nature programs, face painting, scary hair, storytelling, music, wagon rides and a costume contest for different age levels.

haloween_1900[1]Halloween 1900 Style
@ Eidem Homestead, 4345 101st Ave N, Brooklyn Park

When: Saturday, Oct. 24 • 7-9pm  
Cost: $6/adults, $4/ages 5-12, 4 & under free
Details: Celebrate All Hallows’ Eve 1900-style by barn dancing with the animals, telling spooky stories around a bonfire, digging graves, playing games to collect treat and more.

Tamarack Trick-or-Treat
@ Tamarack Nature Center, 5287 Otter Lake Road, White Bear Township

Time: Saturday, Oct. 24 • Ongoing, 3:00-5:30pm, register for start times of 3:00 p.m., 3:20 p.m., 3:40 p.m. or 4:00 p.m. Activities take approximately 75 minutes to complete.
Cost: $7.50/child; $3.25/adult
Details: This low-key, non-spooky event includes games, old fashioned hand-pressed cider and some close encounters with live animals. Enjoy friendly costumed characters handing out treats along our prairie loop trail and spend time in our nature play area, Discovery Hollow.
When: Saturday, Oct. 24 • 3-6pm  
Cost: Free admission, small supply fee for some activities
Details: Thrill the World is the ultimate Halloween-Style block party in the Kenwood neighborhood of Minneapolis. The highlight of the festival is a “flash mob” dance performance at 5pm, open to all ages, set to “Thriller”. Other activities include zombie makeovers, cookies and cider, storytelling, crafts and a performance by the Big Epic Show.

 

Lake Como Pumpkin Patch
@ Como Dockside Pavilion, 1360 Lexington Pkwy N, St. Paul

When: Sat-Sun, Oct. 24-25 & Sat, Oct. 31
Cost: $5-$11/pp
Details: Wristband option #1 includes admission to the pumpkin patch, a small pumpkin, hayride, unlimited inflatables and games, and your choice of a surrey bike or pedal boat rental. Prices are $11/ages 4-55, $9/ages 56+, kids under 4 free. Option #2 includes all of the above with the exception of the bike or boat rental and costs $7/ages 4-55, $5/56+.

@ Pearson’s Candy Company, 2140 7th St W, St Paul

When: Tuesday, Oct. 27 • 4-7pm  
Cost: Free
Details: Come out to Pearson’s candy factory on West 7th in St. Paul and celebrate Halloween with balloon artists, a magician, bouncy house, pumpkin decorating, games, photo booth and of-course lots of candy! Bulk candy will be available for purchase at $3 per pound (cash only) with proceeds benefiting the Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Upper Midwest.

Gibbs Farm Halloween 
@ Gibbs Farm, 2097 West Larpenteur, Falcon Heights

When: Saturday, Oct. 31 • 10am-4pm
Cost: $8/adults, $7/seniors, $5 ages 3+, free for members
Details: Enjoy an old-fashioned Halloween with popcorn balls, a penny scramble, trick-or-treating at the farmhouse, storytelling and more.

In the Heart of the Beast Puppet Show
@ Calhoun Square, 3001 Hennepin Ave, Minneapolis

When: Saturday, Oct. 31 • 10 & 11:30am  
Cost: Free
Details: Heart of the Beast will take center stage in the first floor atrium with their first show at 10:00am. Afterwards, children will have the opportunity to “create and take” a puppet. The second show will begin at 11:30 am. Come in costume and go trick-or-treating at Calhoun Square after the show!
