Twin Cities festivals this weekend for the family – Northeast Metro

BLAINE Festival

Aquatore Park, 9191 Lincoln St NE, Blaine, MN 55434
It’s the biggest summer bash in Blaine: cool events at the festival this weekend include a traffic safety booth staffed by the police department, basketball and dance mini-clinics, a bald eagle program and a pedal tractor pull. Plus the parade on Saturday at noon, a carnival and music all weekend. June 27-28, 2026.

COLUMBIA HEIGHTS Jamboree

Huset Park, 3965 Jefferson St NE, Columbia Heights, MN 55421
After the big parade on Friday night, the Jamboree continues over the weekend with fireworks on Saturday and the Columbia Heights fire department pancake breakfast on Sunday. Plus a classic carnival all weekend long. June 27-28, 2026.

ROSEVILLE Rosefest

This weekend, the huge Roseville Party in the Park takes place on Saturday with bands, inflatables, food trucks and fireworks. Please note that this is the culmination of Rosefest – the party and fireworks have moved from their historical date of July 4. June 27, 2026.

SCANDIA Midsommardagen at Gammelgarden Museum

Traditional Swedish music and dances celebrate the long days of summer! Building Tours are FREE. Kids will delight in searching out the colorful Swedish Dala horses around the property. Bring a picnic lunch of your own or purchase Swedish meatballs and ice cream from the vendors. June 27, 2026, 10am-4pm. FREE.

Silver Lake Park boasts a large expanse of sandy beach and the swimming boundaries are relatively small. A few pieces of sweet play equipment make it an ideal spot for small children. It felt tucked away from the crowds the day we visited.

NEW BRIGHTON History Museum Open 

700 Park Drive, New Brighton, MN 55112
Nestled within LONG LAKE REGIONAL PARK is the NEW BRIGHTON HISTORY CENTER MUSEUM. The restored train depot is definitely worth a whistlestop during the summer – your kids can even climb aboard the caboose! You’ll find a whole afternoon’s worth of entertainment at the park – one of the area’s best beaches, several playgrounds, plenty of space to picnic and a trail around the lake for a hike or bike ride. Depot is open this weekend, 1-4pm. FREE.

Restored in 2022, the mini golf course at Island Lake Golf Course is open for the first time in more than a decade! Run by Ramsey County Parks, there are also four golf courses as well as leagues, lessons, and junior programs. $14/adult, $11/juniors & seniors.

This has got to be one of our favorite summer storytimes to promote. The big red trolley scoops up families at Valley Bookseller in the charming St Croix River town of Stillwater and shuttles them around while stories are read onboard. Your child’s ticket includes a treat from Candyland sweet shop. The event is very popular and will definitely sell out – so book your slot quick! June 27, 2026 and Saturdays through October. $11/pp.

LINO LAKES Joyer Adventure Farm Open

Waldoch Farm’s chief operation is garden supply and fresh produce but they also offer tickets to its JOYER ADVENTURE FARM. Admission includes access to playground equipment, giant slide, a sandbox, the barnyard animals and 15+ activities. $12.99/child (SAVE $5 with tickets available online). June 27-28, 2026.

PICK YOUR OWN! It’s strawberry season at Waldoch Farm. A pass to u-pick berries is included with your Adventure Farm ticket. 

FALCON HEIGHTS Gibbs Farm Open Hours

Take a guided tour on the hour through the historic farmhouse, barn, schoolhouse, soddy and encampment. Meet some sweet farm babies and discover what life was like here on the prairie back in the Gibbs family day. June 27, 2026, 10am-4pm. $5-$10/pp.

ST CROIX FALLS Fawn-Doe-Rosa Wildlife Park

Technically these are “Wisconsin Farm Babies” but just as awwwe-inspiring, sweet and cuddly as the Minnesota variety. Just across the St Croix River border you can welcome critters like deer, goats, cows, pigs, sheep, rabbits, fox, mink, wolves, moose, otters, beavers and hedgehogs. Consider stopping in as part of a weekend day trip to kid-friendly Taylors Falls on the Minnesota side. All weekend, $11.50/adults, $10.50/kids.

ROSEVILLE Theater in the Park: Cinderella

A Rosefest summer festival tradition, theater in the park is performed on the last Sunday of the week-long event. This year’s production is again performed by Arts Garden non-profit community theater. Your kids will be singing along! June 28, 2026, shows at 2 & 6pm. WHITE BEAR LAKE Midwest Ski Otters Water Ski Show

Little Goose Lake, Hwy 61 & County Road F, White Bear Lake MN
Pull up a camp chair and marvel at the dazzling skills of this water ski team. Sunday shows run all summer long and start at 6pm – but you’ll want to come early for a good seat. June 28, 2026. FREE.
