Picturesque Stillwater’s Main Street lights up with Christmas decorations and traditional events for a month-long celebration dubbed Hometown for the Holidays.
2025 Stillwater Hometown for the Holidays events
November 29-30: Shop Small Weekend
- Support Stillwater’s independent shops and restaurants!
- 12-5pm | NEW Elf Takeover – track them down around downtown for your chance to get a free coupon bag today only and win gift cards.
- 2-4pm | Find Santa around Stillwater
- 3-5pm | Strolling Victorian carolers (1-3pm Sunday)
December 6: Twinkle Party & Tree Lighting
- 4:30-6:30pm | Meet Elsa & Olaf. Free twinkle lights are passed out for kids 12 & under, live music and carolers entertain.
- 5pm | Santa arrives via fire truck
- 5:30pm | Holiday tree lighting & fireworks
December 12-14: Candy Town Weekend
- Friday gingerbread man ornament scavenger hunt downtown with prize drawing (Dec 12-19).
- Santa sightings (Sat, 2-4pm & Sun, 12-2pm)
- Saturday Victorian carolers, 3-5pm
- Sunday gingerbread house contest – meet the gingerbread man & decorate cookies and meet Santa – Darn Knit Anyway’s Makers’ Lounge, 12-2pm
December 20: Furry Friends Weekend
- 12pm | Pet Parade on Main Street with the Grinch
- 2-4pm | Strolling Victorian carolers
