Twin Cities Birthday Parties for Kids – 2020

Family Fun Twin Cities Guide to Birthday Parties in the Twin Cities Banner

Birthday parties. Every year we want to make the annual bash the best EVER. Lucky for us, the Twin Cities metro area offers a plethora of birthday party ideas and venues from which to choose. Indoor birthday party places, outdoor party spots, whatever theme kids can dream, there is probably something in the Twin Cities. We’ve rounded up over 100 of these Twin Cites party places to give you some inspiration for your next birthday celebration!

This post is brought to you by participating party venues.

Thanks so much to Lynn’s Cake and Candy Supplies for sponsoring the Birthday Parties Guide in the Twin Cities.

Lynn’s Cake and Candy Supply | Fridley

This is our favorite place to get all our birthday cake supplies. They know what they are doing and have helped me through more than one tragedy.
Limited to 8 participants, $20/child (excluding the adult chaperone). $50 deposit required. Parties are 60-75 minutes; please schedule your party at least 3 weeks in advance.

  • Cupcake Party:  Lynn’s offers the perfect party for any skill level. This is a fun environment where each participant will learn how to fill a cupcake with delicious filling, then learn some fun decorating techniques with a piping bag and tip.  Wait until you see their faces when they learn how to pipe out 3 colors at once! The group will then use those new skills to decorate their very own 4 cupcakes with our buttercream frosting. Each attendee will leave with their 4 cupcakes safely stored in a clear plastic container and the excitement to do more at home!
  • Chocolate Party:  This is a beginner, fun class designed to introduce you to the ease of making chocolate candy in neat designs with over 500 different chocolate molds and 43 varieties of chocolate.  Learn the difference between real chocolate and chocolate coating.  Melt chocolate, add flavoring and color, and properly fill a mold.  Each attendee will leave with their own homemade chocolate candies.

  2. Hi… another very fun and super awesome experience for Birthday’s is Gamin Ride’s Mobile Video Game Theater! 🙂

  3. I’m trying to find an acting or drama birthday party in the Twin Cities but I don’t think any of the theaters offer one!

    1. Hi Erin:

Stages Theatre Company offers a “Create Your Own Workshop” option. This might work for a birthday party.

Another idea is 2 Defy Gravity — a Circus Arts Duo that offers birthday parties. It’s a little off the drama idea, but could be fun.

While we have no experience with them, there is a company in Edina called DramaKids that has birthday parties.

I hope some of these ideas help.

  4. Love this post so much!! You have so many great ideas 🙂 I’m currently planning a party for my 2 and 3 year old girls. Thank you!
