Low-key, open-ended and FREE – aren’t park days are just the best when it comes to combating summer boredom? Our fair Twin Cities are simply stuffed with lovely parks that offer imaginative playgrounds, splash pads, picnic shelters, nature trails and free entertainment that gets little toes tapping. We’ve collected the lineups for all the best, free and exclusively for kids entertainment in the parks this summer.

Brooklyn Park | Family Fun on the Farm Concert Series

4345 101st Ave N, Brooklyn Park, MN 55443
Historic Eidem Farm hosts a free family concert series this summer along with the unique chance to explore a historic farmstead complete with farm animals. Three dates this summer: June 25, July 9 & August 6, 6-7pm. FREE. Please see link for the lineup.

Elk River | Entertainment In the Park

Woodland Trails Regional Park, 20135 Elk Lake Rd, Elk River, MN 55330
Kid-friendly entertainment abounds in Woodland Trails Regional Park again this summer. Bring comfortable seating, maybe even a picnic lunch, and camp out near the pavilion for all the free fun. Series runs ongoing Thursdays, June 11-August 6, 2026, 10:30-11:15am. 

Maple Grove | Sounds of Summer Kids Entertainment

Town Green Park, 7991 Main Street N, Maple Grove, MN 55369
Kid favorites performed on Thursday mornings – free, live and outdoors! There will also be movies on select Fridays. Full Kids Entertainment Series runs June 25-August 27, 2026, 10:30am.

Otsego | Summer Entertainment In the Park

Otsego Parks and Rec invites you and the kids to pack up picnics and swimsuits for the splash pad to make a day (or evening) of it at Prairie Park. Free entertainment includes visitors like the Raptor Center, park ranger storytime and a local theater troupe. Full summer series runs May 13-August 6, 2025.

Blaine | Performance In the Park

Aquatore Park, 9191 Lincoln St NE, Blaine, MN 55434
Specifically the series in Aquatore Park is aimed at entertaining younger children. Catch the free shows select Tuesdays in June & July at 6pm. Full series runs June 9-July 28, 2026.

Shoreview | Kidz Concerts In the Commons

Shoreview Community Center, 4580 Victoria Street N, Shoreview
Free Wednesday concerts curated especially for kids at 10am. Meet at the Haffeman Pavilion and bring something comfy to sit on. Full series runs July 1 – August 5, 2026. 

BONUS FUN Have an indoor playdate at Tropical Adventures Indoor Playground or play outdoors at the awesome SHOREVIEW COMMONS destination playground.

Bloomington | Monday Morning Kids Series

The Monday Morning Kids Series presents weekly concerts and entertainment especially for kids. These family favorites will only be held in Valley View Park between June 8 – August 10, 2026. All shows start at 10:30am and are free to attend.

Chaska | Tuesday Kids Entertainment

Firemen’s Park, 3260 Chaska Boulevard, Chaska, MN 55318
Chaska’s summer Tuesday Kids Entertainment takes place at lovely FIREMEN’S PARK on the Clayhole. I’d pack swimsuits and such for the kids as the swimming beach will be tempting. Concert times alternate between morning shows (10:30-11:30am) and evening shows (6-7pm) so always double check the full lineup for details. Full entertainment series runs June 9 – August 25, 2026. Admission is always free.

Eden Prairie | Kidstock

Staring Lake Park, 14800 Pioneer Trail, Eden Prairie, MN 55347
Variety of free kids entertainment at Staring Lake Amphitheater throughout the summer. Plan for 10:30-11:15am each Tuesday, then bring a lunch – there’s a great playground adjacent to the amphitheater for kids! Full series runs June 19 – August 12, 2025.

Edina | Centennial Lakes Kids Summer Entertainment

7499 France Avenue South, Edina, MN 55435
 Centennial Lakes Park is a very family-friendly haven for FREE summer entertainment! Plus, there is lots more to explore in the park – from paddle boats to lawn games to tiny model yachts that zip around the canals. Free Tuesday & Thursday Children’s Performances take place at Maezold Amphitheater at 10am. Edina Art Center’s Art Cart will be onsite with activities from 9-10:30am. Full series runs June 3 – August 28, 2025.

Richfield | Kids Entertainment In the Park

Richfield Band Shell, 636 E 66th Street, Richfield, MN 55423
Free entertainment for kids of all ages each week at 11am! Head to the Bandshell at Richfield’s Veterans Park and get ready to bust any bit of summer boredom. Kids entertainment is presented Tuesday mornings, June 16-August 11th, 2026.

MORE FUN FOR KIDS Richfield’s Veterans Park is also home to an 18-hole miniature golf course run by Wheel Fun Rentals, an ice cream-and-snack shop, an outdoor swimming pool and a pretty cool playground. You can easily spend an entire day!

Savage | Treats ‘n Tunes

All of the free summer concerts in the park offered by the community of Savage are family-friendly, but September’s selection is aimed right at kids: The Bazillions. Plus, FREE ice cream treats handed out! Can it get any sweeter? One show each month, May to September, music from 7-8pm.

St Louis Park | Kids Summer Concert Series

Wolfe Park, 3700 Monterey Drive, St Louis Park, MN 
The free Kids Summer Concert Series runs Wednesdays from 10-11am at Veterans Memorial Amphitheater. After the show, consider sticking around for lunch, a run around the playground or even a swim at St Louis Park Aquatic Center. Full series runs June 17-August 12, 2026. 

Victoria | Afternoon by the Lake Kids Concert Series

Charlson Thun Community Bandstand, Bayfront Park, 1730 Steiger Lake Lane, Victoria, MN 55386 
Monthly Thursday afternoon concerts feature favorite kids bands, kids activities and a storywalk.

TWIN CITIES SOUTHEAST METRO FREE KIDS SUMMER CONCERTS & ENTERTAINMENT

Burnsville | Thursday Rockin’ Lunch Hour

12550 Nicollet Ave, Burnsville, MN 55337
Super kid-friendly concerts start at noon. Arrive early for story times by local school principals. Heads up! The entertainment setting features a gorgeous landscaped water feature – your kids will probably treat it as a splash pad. Ongoing Thursdays, June 11-August 6, 2026.

Inver Grove Heights | Inver Groove Music In the Park

South Valley Park, 2810 70th Street East, Inver Grove Heights
Come to the park on Tuesdays for kid-friendly musical entertainment in 45-minute sets. Bring your blanket or chairs and a picnic lunch. June 23-July 28, 2026, 10:30am.

Rosemount | Morning Music In Central Park

2893 145th St W, Rosemount, MN 55068
Kids entertainment weekly culminating in a free summer celebration at the splash pad. Thursdays, June 5-July 17, 2025 at 10am. 

South St Paul | Summer Playhouse

South St Paul offers a traveling playhouse that visits neighborhood parks to teach kids about a different animal each week. Crafts and fun facts are included in the performances. All ages are welcome to attend!
