Got kids who are just crazy about getting up close to big rigs? Good news! Your Modern Family recently shared their research on why this obsession makes kids smarter! Our calendar of Twin Cities Touch-A-Truck events and Public Works Open Houses will help you find them!
These events weren’t really possible in 2020, but we are optimistically setting up this page to share events in 2021, as restrictions loosen and municipalities find ways to adjust to social distancing. If you know of an event where kids can get up close to big trucks, let us know and we’ll add it.
While there are touch-a-truck opportunities throughout the year, the best times to find events are in May, during National Public Works Week, and in October, during Fire Prevention Month. Because it is easier to offer these events outdoors, summer months naturally have more opportunities than winter months.
