Edina 4th of July Parade
Edina’s 4th of July Parade steps off at City Hall and features veterans, marching bands, floats, horses, musicians, clowns, and more. A concert and fireworks in Rosland Park traditionally follow in the evening.Â

The aquatic center is THE place to be during hot summer days in Edina. The pirate-themed water complex boasts the Lost Wave Simulator, tube and body slides, a cable zipline ride, pirate-themed kiddie pool (arrrrgggh!), and an outdoor playground. Admission is $11-$14 with a discount after 5pm.

Outdoor ice skating rinks in Bloomington
The city of Bloomington plans to maintain outdoor ice skating rinks at nine community parks. Each has a general ice skating rink, a hockey rink, warming house and outdoor lights. Find the rinks at Brookside Park, Bryant Park, Kelly Park, Poplar Bridge Park, Ridgeview Park, Running Park, Southwood Park, Sunrise Park & Westwood Park.

Winter at Bloomington’s Hyland Hills Ski Area
During the winter months in Bloomington, Hyland Hills is a premiere family skiing and snowboarding destination. The terrain of the park is full of innovative features and offers some of the best snowmaking and grooming in the Midwest. The best sledding hills in BloomingtonÂ
HYLAND LAKE PARK RESERVE: This is a winter recreational haven – bring your own sleds or rent one for a buck at the Richardson Nature Center (please check at the nature center for rentals – it’s also a fun place to warm up). The sledding hill is close to the nature center parking lot.

Edinborough Park & Adventure Peak Indoor Playground
It’s perfect playground weather year-round at Edina’s EDINBOROUGH PARK featuring the awesome see-it-to-believe it Adventure Peak Indoor Playground. Perfect for kids and families, Edinborough Park is a full acre indoor playpark and landscaped green space. The giant indoor playground is affordably priced for a day of indoor play and will run your kids ragged with level after level of climbing and sliding. The Summit is a multipurpose space where kids can play active games like riding scooters and playing with hula hoops and balls or bounce on a large moonwalk. Other Edinborough Park amenities include a swimming pool, track and fitness area. The City of Edina provides free wifi at this location. Centennial Lakes Park

Just off of France Avenue in Edina, Centennial Lakes Park is 24 green acres of family fun. It features nearly 1.5 miles of paved pathways that circle lovely canals and ponds, picnic space, a labyrinth, and swinging benches. CENTENNIAL LAKES PARK offers plenty of free parking located near Hughes Pavilion. May to September, kids and families can enjoy plenty of fun, outdoor activities in the park including 18 holes of golf on a small-scale course surrounded by sand traps, ponds, boulders and planter beds. There are also lawn games and paddleboats to rent, a farmers market and live entertainment Monday through Thursday during the summer months. Our kids adore trying to spot the tiny watercraft that make up the EDINA MODEL YACHT CLUB in the Centennial Lakes Park ponds. Don’t miss the Parade of Boats in June! See the link for details.
We also love winter at Centennial Lakes Park because the ponds and canals freeze over, creating the most idyllic place to ice skate in Edina. Bring your own skates to skate FREE or rent a pair at the cozy warm Hughes Pavilion.

Located in ROSLAND PARK, the Edina Art Center houses studios and galleries and offers classes to facilitate creative and artistic education. The center offers classes for both children and adults.
