Braemar Park is Edina’s largest park. Family-friendly amenities include hills and lakes and mature trees. It encompasses 500 acres and incorporates Braemar Golf Course, Braemar Arena and the Courtney Fields Complex. Braemar Field is a year-round sports field. It is covered from November through April. Amenities include a turf field and public track.

Climate-controlled winter sports dome

The climate controlled dome is a popular for practicing soccer, football and other activities during the winter months. It also has three indoor batting cages. Entrance for most activities is $5 a session. Season passes and multiple-use punch cards are available. The turf track is free to use without paying the entrance fee and is open 6 a.m.-9 p.m. daily except during organized sports practices. Batting cages can be rented by the half hour or hour. Tot Time at Braemar Field

Tot Times historically run November through April, offering a covered area where kids can run and play safely with equipment available for check out. Toys from home are also allowed. Cost: $5/child.

Family Nights at the Dome

Family Nights also run November through April in the dome. Families can exercise together when its cooler out. Family Nights also cost $5/session for each attendee. Open Dome times are less regular than tot times.

Recreation at Braemar Park

Mountain biking trails

In 2024, Braemar Park became the home of Edina’s first mountain biking trails. Find the nearly 7 miles of mountain biking trails on the west and east sides of the park

Hiking trails

In addition to the biking trails, the park added new hiking/walking trails. These separate pedestrian trails offer slightly more than 2 miles of mildly challenging paths through wooded areas of the park.

Sledding at Braemar Park

With its rolling hills, Braemar Park offers options for sledding at various levels. Edina reminds sledders to keep sleds away from the street for safety.

Braemar Golf Course, Driving Range and Golf Dome

Braemar Golf Course’s driving range and Dome have both repeatedly been named among the nation’s top 50 by the Golf Range Association of America (GRAA). Braemar Golf Dome is open throughout the winter. The Braemar Golf Course and Driving Range are open spring to fall. The perimeter path around the golf course is 2.4 miles and open to walkers.
