So you’ve got a little one who’d prefer to become accustomed to the pool without those periodic (and unintentional) slaps of water in the face from sharing space with the big kids? The following Twin Cities pools are offering special tot times this summer solely for the purpose of helping youngsters get comfortable in the water:
TWIN CITIES OUTDOOR POOLS
Cascade Bay | Eagan CLOSED IN 2020
Little Mates: Swimmers and splashers ages 0-6 have the pool and sand to themselves before the water park opens for the day. June 8-Aug 30, 2020, daily except Wednesdays, 9:45-10:45am. $4/child.
Como Regional Park Pool | St Paul CLOSED IN 2020
Tot Time: Only the splash pad and zero-depth pool are open during this time. All are welcome to stay for open swim at 11am at no extra charge. Saturdays 9:30am-11am. $8/parent and child pair, $4/additional child, ages 0-6. 2020 Information TBA.
Crystal Cove Aquatic Center | Crystal OPENING POSTPONED UNTIL JULY 6, 2020.
Little Splashers Pool-Time: Only the zero-depth pool will be open. Pool closes at 12:30 pm and re-opens at 1:15 pm with normal admission fees and hours. 2020 Dates: Saturdays June 13, 20, 27; July 11, 18; Aug. 1, 8, 15; 10:30am-12:30pm; $3/child ages 7 & under, adults free.
Lorraine Park Splash Pool | South St Paul
Toddler Time: Mon-Fri 11am-12:30pm. $4/pp, caregivers and children 2-3 yrs. June 6th – August 16th, 2020.
Richfield Outdoor Pool | Richfield
Tot Time: Mon-Sat 10am-11am. $10/pp, under 12 months FREE. 2020 Info TBA.
St Louis Park Aquatic Center OPENING POSTPONED UNTIL JULY 1, 2020
Parent & Tot Time: Exclusive use of the shallow end of the pool with its splash features for tots and their caregivers. Mon– Fri, 9:30am-11am. $9.50/pp.
Sandventure Aquatic Park | Shakopee CLOSED FOR 2020
Splish and Splash Tot Time: While this was a pre-register program in past years, it appears to be now be a drop-in program. During these sessions, parents can bring their infants and toddlers to play in the sand and swim in the zero-depth entry pool before the park opens to the public. Fridays, 9:45-10:45am; June 8-Aug. 23, 2020. $5/child.
Battle Creek Waterworks | Maplewood CLOSED FOR 2020
Tot Tuesday & Thursday: Zero-depth entry, water tables and other age-appropriate splash opportunities. Ongoing Tues & Thurs through 2019 season, 9:30-10:30am. $2.50/pp ages 5 & under with guardian, additional fee of $4.50/pp if staying after 10:30am.
Bloomington Family Aquatic Center CLOSED FOR 2020
Open Tot Swim: Cool off at the new tot spray table in the zero-depth entry pool. 1:1 parent to child ratio required for children under 5. Mon-Fri, Early June – Early September, 10am-noon. $8-$10/pp ages 1-6 with caregiver.
Bunker Hills Water Park | Andover CLOSED FOR 2020
Wednesdays: Special time for PreK’s and parents before the park opens to the public. Ongoing June 19 – August 21, 9:00-10:00am. $3.00/pp ages 5 & under with guardian.

Tot Time Swim: Swim times are subject to change. Plan to spend time in the outdoor splash pad! Leisure Pool – Mon, Fri, Sun 10:45-12:45pm (We recommend checking the Leisure Pool Schedule). $6.05-$8.38/pp ages 6 & under with caregiver.
Eden Prairie Community Center Pool
Tot Time Open Swim: Only the pool with the play features is open during this time. Tues & Thurs-Sun, 9am-12pm. $5.50-$7.50/pp, families with children ages 5 & younger can bring other children up to age 7 during Tot Time Open Swim.
