Explore the natural world with your preschooler through hands-on activities, outdoor walks, art-making, storytimes and more. Each month brings a new nature topic; this program typically (but not always, so please consult the parks & rec calendar) takes place the first Thursday & Saturday of the month. Meet at the Lebanon Hills Regional Park visitor center. Registration required for children (ages 3-6); siblings outside the age range cannot be accommodated due to space. Did the knee high naturalist program get moved to fridays? It says it’s on 8/7 this month. Are you offering it in Saturdays?

Hi Katie. We are not associated with the Knee High Naturalists program. We’re just sharing fun family events.
However, Thank you for asking. I followed the link in our calendar entry and found that the Fantastic Fireflies program is on Friday, August 7th as listed – this is probably because fireflies need to be viewed at night to be exciting and it is also now listed as part of the Forever Wild Family Friday program. The good news is that it is now a free event. I’ve added a link to our listing for Forever Wild Friday events.
More good news. Additional Knee-High Naturalist dates have been added for August and September on Thursdays and Saturdays, so I have updated our entry to include these additional activities in place of the Friday evening event.
