Bunker Beach Water Park wins the title of Minnesota’s largest outdoor water park. Exciting features include a wave pool, lazy loop, twisted towers and adventure pool. The beach season runs from early June – Labor Day. Beach hours are 11am to 7pm daily. This water park tends to be one of the more expensive waterparks in the Twin Cities, with a higher than average admission, plus the park’s vehicle fee and extras for use of lockers or float tubes. If you live near enough to visit often, season passes are available and will pay for themselves quickly. Concessions are also available at the water park.
Tips for visiting Bunker Beach Water Park
- Best time to visit: Consider visiting on a less-busy weekday. The beach can get crowded on peak days and lines can get long. Weekends tend to hit full capacity.
- Hours of operation: The park is opens seasonally from early June through the end of August; 11am-7pm daily. (Subject to change due to weather).

- What to bring: Keep your personal items minimal. There are lockers available if you need them. Definitely bring water bottles for everyone. Pack a picnic. You can’t bring food in, but you can get your hand stamped and have a picnic in the park at lunch.

While the water park’s prices may be a bit high for bigger families, there are some ways to find discounts, including promotional days, group rates and season passes. Watch for the lowest prices on season passes in January and February.
Tot Time at Bunker Beach
Parents can bring their pre-K’s on Tuesday & Thursday mornings before the park opens for the day for a reduced rate. Adults are free. This time is set aside as an exclusive opportunity for guardians and tots to avoid the crowd.
