Activities still on the schedule include free carriage rides, a DJ, bonfire and food trucks. February 10, 11am-2pm.

MENDOTA HEIGHTS Frozen Fun Fest

Friendly Hills Park, Pueblo Ln, Mendota Heights, MN 55120
Family-friendly Cupid Crawl with a magic show and live music at Market Square. February 10, 5-8pm. 

SOUTH ST PAUL Flannel Fest

Jefferson Park, 125 21st Ave N, South St Paul, MN 55075
Particularly kid-friendly, this day originally featured a Starlight Skate & Sled event with ice bowling and hot cocoa served by the SSP police department. We’re guessing the bowling event has been shelved but check the link for updates. February 10, 2024, 5-7pm. FREE.

  • BROOKLYN PARK: Winterfest – Minus the ice skating, there will be a touch-a-truck event, bonfire and treats. February 10, 2-4pm.
  • MINNEAPOLIS: Lunar New Year at Midtown Global Market – Crafts for kids, story time, dance performances and great food. February 10, 12-3pm.
  • RAMSEY: Frost Fest – Keep watch to see if the chili cook-off goes ahead as scheduled. February 10, 12-6pm.

Exploring the Twin Cities’ best ice rinks

We’d encourage you to get out and take a slide down a thrilling slope listed in our sledding hill guide or glide on one of the free ice skating rinks – but this hasn’t been a typical winter. We’ll continue to monitor the outdoor activities this weekend. Here’s what still hanging on in the Southeast Metro:

  • Winter SKOLstice ice rink at Viking Lakes – You can ice skate for free this weekend on the outdoor refrigerated Market Rinks (5-10pm Fri & Sat, BYO skates or rent a pair for $5). Ice is scheduled to be open February 10 & 11, 2024. Please check the website to confirm as status may change with the weather. 2685 Vikings Cir, Eagan, MN 55121

Snow tubing in the Southeast Metro

BUCK HILL, Burnsville: The tubing lanes are currently open and were advertised as $18/2 hrs when we last checked. (However, when you attempt to reserve tickets the price appears to be $24 – you’ll want to call to confirm.)
