Located in Rosland Park in Edina, the Edina Art Center houses studios and galleries and offers classes to facilitate creative and artistic education. The center offers classes for both children and adults. Programs include painting, pottery and ceramics, media arts, children’s classes and summer camps. Families with younger kids can participate in Preschool Art on Friday mornings. Other regularly offered family-friendly events include First Saturday Art Labs and Cupcakes & Canvas classes. The art center offers year-round classes for children and adults. Families can also take parent-child classes together. They also offer summer camp programs rotating through weekly themes, including drawing and painting. Camps run Monday through Thursday mornings during the summer months at Fred Richards Park clubhouse. Learn more about summer camp offerings in our annually updated summer camp guide. Weekly Open Studio hours allow the public to drop in or pre-register for time to draw, paint and create together for a small fee. Space is limited to 10 people, so pre-registration would avoid disappointment during busier times, but it is not necessary. Bring your own art supplies and use the studio space to get messy. Edina Art Center is not advertising birthday party packages at this time. They have offered packages in the past, so they may offer them again in the future.
