This is one of the must go to events for the Peters family. Who doesn’t love trucks? The fourth annual Trucks Extravaganza event is this Saturday from 11 a.m. to 3p.m. at Folwell Park. (Usually it’s at Webber Park, but don’t go there, it’s under construction).
This event was created to give kids a chance to see trucks up close, they can even sit inside some of the vehicles. Earlier this month, the park board sent out an request for any type of vehicle, such as fire trucks, garbage trucks, race cars, backhoes, police cars, dump trucks, TV trucks, Army trucks, tow trucks, freightliners, cement mixers, moving trucks, front-end loaders, cherry pickers, street sweepers, Bobcats, Ditch Witches, or limousines. It will be fun to see who volunteered their afternoon and their truck. Some companies will have people on hand to explain vehicles and answer any questions your little ones can come up with.
Besides seeing the trucks, your family can enjoy music, a bounce house, art and henna tattoos. Did I mention free food? Hot dogs, chips, popsicles, lemonade—all free! This is going to be so much fun.
