We’re not eggs-agerating when we say our Twin Cities egg hunt round-up is more massive than ever this year. A few highlights have been listed below to give you just a taste of what I mean, one for each corner of the Metro. Hit the link for our complete list of where to find the hunts:


April 13: Annual Spring Egg Hunt | Van Cleve Park, Minneapolis
Hop on over for an egg hunt in the park for various age levels. Enjoy snacks, egg decorating and baskets and spin art.


April 13: Vadnais Heights Easter Egg Hunt | Community Park, Vadnais Heights
The Easter Bunny will visit while you hunt for eggs redeemable for prizes.


April 13: Excellent Egg Frenzy | HealthEast Sports Center, Woodbury
Bring your bucket to collect up to 10 toy-filled eggs around the outdoor softball fields then meet-and-greet the bunny.


April 13: Easter Egg Hunt & Candy Grab | Shakopee Community Center, Shakopee
Egg hunts by age start at 11am with activities, games and prizes until 1 pm. Bring your own basket.


4/13/19: Egg Scramble | Veterans Memorial Park, Richfield | 10am | Kids 11 & under are invited to scramble for eggs, and meet the Bunny and several of his friends.


Sun, April 14: Art in Bloom Family Day | Minneapolis Institute of Art

The MIA blooms with arrangements inspired by artwork from the museum’s collection during this annual spring event. A special time has been set aside for families experience the displays with storytelling, chalk art, crafting with fresh flowers and more. Art in Bloom’s Family Day is April 14, 10am-1pm. FREE.

Sun, April 14: Family Art Sunday: Flower Power | Banfill-Locke Center for the Arts, Fridley

Take a scavenger hunt through the galleries and do a make-and-take project. 1-3pm, FREE.


Opens Sat, Apr 13: Twin Cities Festival – Spring Babies | Brooklyn Park
An admission ticket grants you access to cuddles with baby farm animals, hayrides, a play area and more diversions. Bonus: first 500 kids through the gates on opening day get a free stuffed bunny. Weekends only through the end of April, 10am-5pm. $9/online, $10/door.

Sat, April 13: Animal Open House | Eden Prairie Outdoor Center

Stop in and meet a variety of animals, some of whom you can get hands-on with. There will also be raptor shows and a peek at the Staring Lake Observatory’s solar telescope. When we visited this even a couple years back, it proved to be so popular we had to wait in line to go through the cabin. Dress for the outdoors. 1-4pm, FREE.

And while we’ve got this corner of the Twin Cities on the brain, the Eden Prairie Art Center hosts its own open house April 14 with free art projects and face painting for all.
