SOME FUN FAMILY IDEAS FOR THIS WEEKEND
Check out the links on our big list of Twin Cities nature & interpretive centers; all of these locations have outdoor trails to hike and fun, kid-friendly indoor exhibits. Did you know that several of these nature centers also have natural playgrounds nestled within them? You can build with natural materials, climb, balance, even wade and garden at some of the more elaborate spaces (pictured below the amazing DISCOVERY HOLLOW NATURE PLAYGROUND at Tamarack Nature Center). Puppet Adventures & Let’s get stARTed

Dress to be outdoors; the program starts with a puppet show and follows with a nature themed art project. April 10, 2022, drop in between 1-3pm. FREE.
Saturday Morning on the FArm
Gale Woods Farm, 7210 County Rd 110 W, Minnetrista, MN 55364
This wonderful working farm is a great place for kids to get close and in barns (that’s my delighted daughter pictured). Read about a spring visit to the farm here. Spots will fill quickly. If you can’t make it to one of the farm tours, stop over for a self-guided walk around the grounds; Gale Woods is a public park and welcomes visitors. April 9, 2022, drop in between 9:30am-12pm. $5/pp.
OPEN HOUSE AT POND DAKOTA MISSION PARK

Each Sunday explore living history – currently the programs are being held outside so dress for the weather. Enjoy hands-on activities and walk on the trails. April 9, 2022. Drop in from 1-4pm, FREE or suggested donation of $2/pp.
NATURE ROCKS! EDEN PRAIRIE OUTDOOR CENTER OPEN HOUSE

Super Saturday at InnerCity Tennis
InnerCity Tennis’ Super Saturdays Program is a chance for Twin Cities families to bring kids of all ages to learn tennis fundamentals for from trained staff. The entire 12 court facility is provided for this program at no charge. April 9, 2022. Ages 3-10 play from 3-4pm. Ages 11-18 play from 4-6pm.

Participating Michaels stores across the Twin Cities are offering free weekend “Makebreak” classes and “Take & Make” Kids Club crafts.
