Jimmy Lee Play Area

Work will include replacing the existing play equipment with equipment which meets CPSC and ADA guidelines and adding a synthetic resilient surface to provide more accessibility and increase safety. Artist Arlene Birt has been commissioned to create artwork to recognize Jimmy Lee. There will also be improvements made to the surrounding walkways, benches and landscaping as needed. Construction is expected to be completed in Spring of 2019.
Rec Tech Lab at Jimmy Lee Recreation Center
Installation of new modern computer facilities is complete. Community members can use the lab to develop computer literacy and skills. Hazel Park Recreation Center and Rice Recreation Center Teen Zone will be updated soon. St. Paul Parks and Recreation will also host trainings in these recreation centers.
