BURNSVILLE Crystal Beach Park
1101 Crystal Lake Rd E, Burnsville, MN 55306
Located on an isthmus between Crystal & Keller Lakes, its highlight is a swimming beach open Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day.
Eagan Lebanon Hills Regional Park
860 Cliff Road, Eagan, MN 55123
Schulze Lake Beach makes the cut on our list of the best beaches in the Twin Cities to try this summer. Clear, cool and feeling removed from the bustle of the city. Amenities include outdoor showers, indoor restrooms and baby changing station and nearby vending machines for snacks.

WOODBURY Carver Lake Park Beach
3175 Century Ave S, Woodbury, MN 55125
Clean, sandy & threaded with hilly little bike trails and a bike park. The beach is unguarded and swim-at-your-own-risk.

apple valley splash valley waterpark

The city’s outdoor water park includes a lazy river, splash pad, multiple slides and zero-depth entry areas. Outside the pool, the deck offers shaded picnic tables and cabanas available to rent for birthdays and private parties, shady areas, lawn games and a concession stand. $14/person, discounts available.

The park’s outdoor pool underwent a renovation and now features zero depth entry, a climbing wall and a diving board. Open Swim is offered daily during the summer season from 1-4pm. $7/person.
Eagan cascade bay water park
1360 Civic Center Dr, Eagan, MN 55122
Features include a zero depth entry pool, a large leisure pool, the lazy river tube ride and seven waterslides — hurricane slides, tube slides, typhoon slides, body slides and drop slides. Those who need a break from swimming can build a sandcastle on Sandpiper Beach or play a round of mini golf at Captain’s Course. $11-$20/person per session (two sessions each day).

Fun features at the pool include zero-depth entry and a water play area for the littlest swimmers, two substantial slides for the bigger ones, and umbrellas and deck chairs for those who need a break. $7-$9/person.
south st paul northview pool

The classic box-style pool is set to be replaced and will not be open for swimming in 2026.

The splash pool charges a small fee of $2-3.50/pp.

Apple Valley kelley park
6855 Fortino St, Apple Valley, MN 55124
Apple Valley’s sole splash pad has a cute animal theme, hoops of spraying water to dash through, and dump buckets. It is open during the summer months between 9am and 9pm and is weather dependent.

Burnsville Cliff Fen Park
120 Cliff Road E, Burnsville, MN 55337
The park’s large splash pad has 12-15 water features and is quite large by pad standards. Open daily 9 a.m. – 9 p.m, it usually opens the third weekend in May and closes the third weekend in September (weather permitting of course).
Burnsville Nicollet Commons Park
12550 Nicollet Ave, Burnsville, MN 55337
The beautifully landscaped water feature (we hesitate to call it a splash pad but doubtless your kids will want to dip in it) is the centerpiece of Nicollet Commons Park. You can catch a full lineup of free family entertainment in the park during the summer, too!

Cottage Grove Highlands Park

One of the top in the city, Highlands Park is known for its large, whimsical splash pad. Plenty of space to spread out and cool off!

Eagan Central Park
Central Park Splash Pad opened the summer of 2018 and has quickly become one of the most popular splash pads in the Twin Cities. This free water play feature has sprays and bubblers for kids to enjoy. It’s open from 9am to 8pm daily.

ROSEMOUNT Central Park

Central Park is a hub of community entertainment and splashing during the summer. Follow the rainbow pavement to a unique water play structure and plenty of fountains.

West St Paul Harmon park
230 Bernard Street W, West St Paul, MN 55118
Kids and families will flock to this tidy little Harmon Park in West St Paul during the summer. Main reason? A nice-sized splash pad to cool off in!

Woodbury madison’s place playground
4125 Radio Dr, Woodbury, MN 55125
During the summer season, the playground has a free splash pad with two platforms — a larger platform with dumping buckets, nozzles and flower showers, and a smaller platform for smaller children. The splash pads have automatic shutoffs and excess water is used to irrigate the sports fields. Open from 9am to 9pm daily.
