Cascade Bay Water Park is an outdoor water park in Eagan, Minnesota. While admission can be a splurge, parking is free, so you’ll want to work that in when comparing prices with other water parks in the area. Overall, it can be a fun place for the whole family to spend an afternoon. Features include a zero depth entry pool, a large leisure pool, the lazy river tube ride, Sandpiper Beach and seven waterslides. Lifeguards are on duty during all open hours. The facility was recently renovated and updates include new decking and floors, re-coated slides, new shade structures and an upgraded sound system.

2023 Regular Admission Hours

2023 Season: June 9- August 27, 2023

  • Session 1: 10:45am-2:45pm
  • Session 2: 3:15pm-7:15pm

Daily hours are usually 11 a.m. to 7:30 pm. This year two sessions will be offered each day. Visitors can purchase a session pass or all-day admission. Season Passes are also available.

Families attempting to avoid the crowds will find that the best time to go is during the second session on weekday afternoons.

Little Mates – Preschool Swim at Cascade Bay Water Park

Little Mates Tot Swim is an hour dedicated to kids 6 & under.

Cascade Bay offers exclusive water time to small kids ages 0-6 years old between 9:30 and 10:30 a.m., every day except Wednesdays for $6/child. Only certain features are open and available for play. These include a mini-pirate boat slide, the sprays and bubblers, and the Orange Slide. Even the smallest toddlers can play on Sandpiper Beach sand play area or wade in the zero depth entry pool. Toddler Times run all season.

Features for Bigger Kids

Big kids will find plenty of features to keep them entertained during an afternoon of swimming, including a lazy river and several different types of water slides — hurricane slides, tube slides, typhoon slides, body slides, drop slides.

Those who need a break from swimming can maybe grab a lounge chair (they tend to fill quickly), spread a blanket on the grassy hill of Lookout Point or build a small sandcastle on Sandpiper Beach

What to Pack (and not pack)

Families are encouraged to pack sun protection, including lotion or white t-shirts. You will want to pack towels, sunglasses and money for snacks.  Proper swim attire and swim diapers are required. Plastic water bottles and Coastguard approved life jackets are both allowed.

There are several items that are not allowed in the water park, these include:

  • Outside food or drinks (except water in a plastic bottle) and coolers. However, visitors can purchase concessions on the shaded patio that includes both hot and cold foods, including ice cream, pizza, pretzels, nachos, hot dogs and drinks on its menu.
  • Swim toys and sand toys, such as balls, flippers, snorkels, masks, flotation devices (except Coast Guard approved life jackets). Sand toys are provided.
  • Loud things like personal radios
  • Personal Chairs.

Mini Golf at Cascade Bay

Captain’s Course Mini Golf is a nine-hole miniature golf course. It’s hours are the same as the water park hours. A nine-hole round of golf costs $2 or, for those who have paid pool admission, $4 gets you unlimited all day use of the mini-golf course.

Birthday Parties at Cascade Bay

Birthday party packages are available starting with options for as little as 10 guests. Packages include daily admission and a round of mini-golf for each guest plus an hour in the party area, where cake, ice cream and beverages will be served.  For more details, call 651-675-5504.
