Things to do in Minneapolis & St Paul this weekend!
This April Twin Cities Family Weekend Guide covers the weekend of April 1-2, 2023. To find our most recent guide, click here.
If the weather cooperates (you just never know here in Minny) make sure to set aside a little time to get outside and run around. If rain, sleet or (the horror) snow dare to make an appearance, we have ideas for indoor fun, too. For more inspiration on spending family time together this weekend, hop over to our APRIL FAMILY GUIDE our ULTIMATE GUIDE TO SPRING IN THE TWIN CITIES, or our FAMILY FUN CALENDAR. We keep it stocked with options to fit your family’s needs.
TWIN CITIES SPRING BREAK IN APRIL?
There is plenty of stuff to do if you plan to be a tourist in your own city this Spring Break. Think mini golf, trampolines, scavenger hunts, rock climbing, museums and more. Get some inspiration from our 2023 Guide to Spring Break in the Twin Cities.

SOME FUN FAMILY IDEAS FOR THIS WEEKEND: Visit a working farm
We always get excited when it’s time to promote the early spring farm babies events because it feels like a promise that winter has come to an end in Minnesota. (Of course, we deal with our fair share of April blizzards, but baby animals don’t listen to the weather forecast.)
Saturday Morning on the Farm
Gale Woods Farm, 7210 County Rd 110 W, Minnetrista, MN 55364
This wonderful working farm is a great place for kids to get close and in barns (that’s my delighted daughter pictured). Read about a spring visit to the farm here. Spots will fill quickly. If you can’t make it to one of the farm tours, stop over for a self-guided walk around the grounds; Gale Woods is a public park and welcomes visitors. April 1, 2023, drop in between 9:30am-12pm. $6/pp.
