Riley–Jacques Farmstead

A unique features of this park is the Riley-Jacques Farmstead located within the park. The one-and-a-half story red brick house was constructed with Shakopee bricks in 1881 and the dairy barn, built from nearby trees, was added in 1928. While the house is not open to the public, the barn now is used for both recreational and rental uses. A third structure, the log Dorenkemper House, was moved to the park from its original Pioneer Trail location in 2002. The exact date of construction is not known, but the house has been in the Dorenkemper family since 1867.
