Paha Sapa Park in Burnsville is 21 acres and has family friendly amenities that include a spacious playground, space for picnics and green space for open play, sports fields and courts, including a four-square court painted onto the basketball court. In the winter this park maintains an ice rink and a warming house. The play equipment at this park is large with multiple structures for various ages. There is somewhat of a car theme to this play area, with a cool green rocking race car for toddlers and a delivery truck molding in the landing between the slides. Other fun features include gymnastic rings and pull up bars. The playground surface is lined with wood chips. Burnsville outdoor rinks are generally open from mid-December through mid-February, depending on weather. Skaters can use the ice any time during open park hours. However, the warming house is only open from 4-9 pm on weekdays, 10 am-9 pm on Saturdays and 1-9 pm on Sundays (with some special Holiday hours).
