The city will create a list of participating homes for families to drive by all of December available. For extra holiday cheer, pair this drive with the Champlin Christmas at the Crossings Tree Lighting on December 6, 2025. 2025 Map will be available December 4, 2025.
Chanhassen Tour of Lights
Chanhassen, MN 55317
Participating homes will be lit from at least 5pm-9pm nightly and will be family-friendly. Google map and driving instructions will be posted on the City of Chanhassen’s website. Light displays will be lit from December 6-31, 2025.
Elk River Holiday Lights

Fridley Winter Lights Contest & Tour
Residents are again invited to participate in Fridley’s Winter Light contest. Visitors can create their own custom lights tour around town using the city’s map of entrants. Maps and a list of winners will be available by December 12, 2025.
Best Viewing: Judging occurs on December 8-9, 2025. Expect the best holiday lights shows on those two nights.

Spectacular Twin Cities holiday tree lightings & dazzling lights shows
If you love the small town, Hallmark movie vibe, than these small festivals are the perfect way to mix the awe and wonder of holiday lights with a night of family fun. These ceremonies go all out with Christmas decorations and traditional activities, like caroling, hot drinks and s’mores and sometimes wagon or sleight rides. You’ll also usually get a chance to see Santa. If you would rather avoid the crowd, visit these locations any time in December after the festival.

I make the time each year as much for my children, as for all children, young and old to enjoy. We started small and now have added A few DIY pixel Light displays that are computer controlled to our display. He wasn’t able to get to it last year, either, but hoped to do it this year. I’ll check in with him and in the meantime, we’ll move it to inactive.
I have now completed my list of South East venues. Two quick notes first, both from Inver Grove Heights. The huge display on Ann Marie Trail is retired. However the neighborhood just a 1/2 mile east of there (86th Court E and Applegate Way) is very cool. Most homes participate and all of the trees are simply amazing. Still worth the trip to this neighborhood. Second is 6451 Bechman Court, house that had the synchronized light and santa video in the window has moved away. However, the new people did put some decorations up plus the whole Cul-de-sac stepped up and all of the home participate. This is still worth the trip.
