Jefferson Park is a 4-acre neighborhood park on the east side of Richfield. Family-friendly amenities include playground equipment, walking paths, sports fields and an ice rink in the winter.
Ideas for family fun at Jefferson Park
- Play together on the Playground.
- Try pickleball. This park has tennis/pickleball courts. You will need to bring your own paddle and ball. Pickleball paddles are smaller than tennis rackets and solid, like a ping pong paddle. The balls The ball is similar to a wiffle ball. With small kids, you could probably just use a ping pong paddle and ball. Learn more here.
- Play Around the World on the basketball half-court.
- Bring a soccer ball or playground ball to kick around the green space.
- Run the bases on the softball field or bring a playground ball for a game of kickball.
- Ice skate in the winter.
Ice skating at Jefferson Park
The City of Richfield maintains a pleasure rink at this park during outdoor skating season (approximately mid-December to mid-February). There is no warming house at this location. Birthday parties at Jefferson Park
This park has an enclosed building with limited availability to be rented for birthday parties. When it is not in use for other programs, it is available from 10am to 10pm. for rentals. It is available at an hourly rate of $26-$31 with a minimum of 2 hours. It includes electrical outlets and 3 picnic tables.
