Family Fun at Cleaveland Park in Minneapolis, Minnesota
Cleveland Park is adjacent to the Lucy Craft Laney at Cleveland Park Community School in Minneapolis. It has family-friendly facilities including a splash pad style pool, tot lot and playground, sports fields, basketball court and picnic space. Watch for a ninja challenge course, coming in 2025 or 2026.

Cleveland Park Wading Pool
This park has a newer wading pool with a spray feature, like a splash pad, and a zero depth entry. Â Because of its proximity to two schools, it opens after school releases in early June and closes before school resumes in late August. During the summer months, it is open daily from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Minneapolis Parks does not provide life guards for its wading pools.
Coming Updates to Cleveland Park
Cleveland Park is due for updates in the near future. Construction is scheduled to begin in the Fall of 2025 after bidding and final approval come through. Planned improvements include:
- New planted natural areas
- Full and half-size basketball courts
- Small Bankshot-style court
- 1 large multi-use field
- Ninja course
- Outdoor athletic equipment
- Path and other site improvements
- Updated picnic area
- Upgrades for lighting and security
- Amphitheater (as funding allows)
