Eagles Nest Indoor Playground, New Brighton

The Eagles Nest Indoor Playground is found within the New Brighton Community Center. The City of New Brighton completely renovated the indoor playground in the fall of 2017. Fun playground equipment includes a web tower, multiple slides (your kids will love the light-up choice), playable giant piano keys, a tight rope, ball pit, hanging foam forest, and, of course, it is topped with an eagle’s nest (have your kids try to spot it!)

The Eaglets Aerie is a tot space for children aged 3 and under and contains developmentally appropriate activities, including a soft and slow carousel, climbing structures, mini ball pit and a little reading nook.

Children are required to wear socks. If you forget them, socks can be purchased for $3 per pair.

Eagles Nest + Preschool Playtime

Preschool Playtime at the New Brighton Community Center is a special program when preK-aged kids have use of both the Eagles Nest indoor playground and the community center gym, including some provided, age-appropriate equipment. As with any preschool open gym, this is a parent-child program. Currently, Preschool Playtime is held Mondays & Wednesdays from 12-3pm. Admission is included in your Eagles Nest ticket – and caregivers are still free. Note that the program does not run during school district breaks.

Eagles Nest age guidelines

Note that Eagles Nest Indoor Playground is geared toward children ages 1 to 12. Children under 1 are welcome and free. Children older than 12 may not play, but are allowed in the spectator area with their parents. Teenagers who might accompany their families have other options, including the community center’s gym and library. All children inside the Eagles Nest (whether playing or spectating) must be accompanied by an adult.

Food & birthday parties at the Eagles Nest

Birthday party  reservations vary in price by day of the week and exclusive use versus open play with a private room. Drop in parties are not allowed. If you plan to bring gifts, favors, balloons, cake, cupcakes or other accessories, you must make a birthday party reservation.

Families may bring food and eat it in the picnic area or purchase it from vending machines. No food is allowed in the play area. The family picnic area is not meant for parties.
