Family Fun Directory of Things To Do with Kids:
Anoka County Farms will be closed in 2017 due to road construction. They still plan to reopen.
Anoka County Farms is a family-owned and operated farm in Ham Lake. It is located directly across Bunker Lake Boulevard from Bunker Hills Regional Park. During the fall, they are open to the public. Produce for sale includes pumpkins, squash, potatoes, onions and gourds. They also sell cornstalks and straw bales. Bring cash, because they do not accept any other form of payment.
Families can find free activities, along with paid activities. On weekends and during MEA, there is a $5.00 admission per car.
Free Activities include:
- Visit farm animals
- Pumpkin Bowling
- Coloring Contest
- Measuring Stick Photo Op
- Photo Cut Outs
Pay activities are as follows:
- Jumping Castle $2
- Big Slide $2
- Hay Ride $2
- Pumpkin Painting $3
- Pony Ride $5 (weekends only)
One complaint we had about this farm is that they made it a bit too easy for kids to do the pay activities BEFORE asking for money from the parents. If you are attending with one closely-monitored child this would not be much of an issue for you, but if you are wrangling multiple children, it could be.
Birthday Parties at Anoka County Farms
The farm offers a birthday party package for up to 25 people. The package costs $100 and includes, a private area with tables and outlets where you can serve your own food and beverages. Activities are paid for separately on the day of the party at the rates listed above.
