Sunrise Park Lino Lakes (not to be confused with Sunrise Park Bloomington) is a 20-acre park in Lino Lakes that is shaded by mature trees. Family-friendly amenities include a playground, paved walking paths, space to picnic and a soccer field. In the winter, the city maintains a large skating rink with a warming house at this park. This park has a small shelter that holds 6 tables that can be rented for FREE by residents of Lino Lakes and only $25.00 for non-residents. This is the best price I’ve come across for Twin Cities park shelter rentals. The shelter is situated close enough to the playground that parents can sit and chat while kids play. According to Quad Community Press, the city council has approved plans to replace the old playground. This playground, which is more than 20 years old, is expected to be replaced by 2020 at the latest. We have not found any indication from the City that this construction is completed or even started, but we will keep an eye out.
