Otsego Parks are Open Sunrise to Sunset, with exceptions listed below.

Prairie Park is Otsego’s community gathering space. Family friendly amenities include a splash pad and archery course, an RC Track, space to picnic and sports courts and fields. The park hosts a variety of community events each summer.

Ideas for Family Fun at Prairie Park

  1. Attend a Splash & Play Summer Entertainment event on a Tuesday morning.
  2. Play on the playground.
  3. Splash in the Splash Pad. It is open Memorial Day through early September from sunrise to sunset.
  4. Pack a Picnic or bring food to grill
  5. Play Dodge Ball on the soccer field, Bring your own playground ball
  6. Get a game of Kick Ball going on the baseball diamond
  7. Bring you bow to practice archery.
  8. Ride the ramps and rails at Otsego Skate Park
  9. Bring that Remote Control Car You Got for Christmas and race it on the RC Track!
  10. Bring the family dog for some off-leash fun.
  11. Sled in the Winter.
  12. Ice Skate in the Winter

Remote Control Race Track at Prairie Park

While the park is stocked full of family fun opportunities, the most unique feature is a RC Racetrack located north of the archery range.  Electric motor RC cars are welcome on this dirt track to race and play.

Otsego Park Hours

Otsego’s Park Hours are controlled by City Code 8-7-2, which forbids use of park property between sunset and sunrise. These somewhat limited hours have a few exceptions:

  • Use of City trails is allowed
  • Ice rinks are open from 5am to 10pm.
  • Designated dog parks are also open from 5am to 10pm.
