Go prepared to hunt eggs

Over the years, through trial and error, we’ve come up with a short checklist of items to remember before running out the door to get to an Easter egg hunt.

  1. Don’t forget to bring easter baskets, bags or something to toss the eggs into during the hunt.
  2. Dress in layers for outdoor hunts. Minnesota spring is unpredictable.
  3. Most hunts start promptly at the time listed. Arrive a little early, so you can find parking, register (if necessary) and participate in other fun activities.
  4. Cancellations happen due to weather, ground conditions, health issues and other unexpected events. We highly recommend pre-registering when given the option, so you can get updates from the source.

If you know of a fun family event — free or paid — that you’d like to see added, please drop us a line via our contact form or just add a comment at the bottom of this article, and we will share with the community. Thanks! And check back often, as we will we be adding egg hunts to this list until Easter is upon us.

Is there anywhere that does adult easter egg hunts? My mother passed away on March 16th this year and she wanted to do an easter egg hunt for adults since in Missouri that past 2 years she participated. Our family would love to continue on this tradition, just wondering if Minnesota has one??

    1. You are so right, Leo! Egg hunts would aid in cognitive development of children in the same way scavenger hunts do. But also they are just fun and usually come with candy.
