Because events tend to repeat year after year, we like to keep previous years’ events available for the planners among our readers. Feel free to browse last year’s events to get an idea of what to look for in the spring of 2021.  We would expect announcements to be made by mid-winter.



Tiny Tot Spring Party | Logan Park, Minneapolis
Kids ages 1-6 can ring in spring with open gym, face painting, art projects, treats and a visit from the Easter Bunny. Pre-register. 10am-12pm.

Annual Spring Egg Hunt | Van Cleve Park, Minneapolis
Hop on over for an egg hunt in the park for various age levels. Enjoy snacks, egg decorating and baskets, tissue paper flowers and spin art. 10:30am-noon.

Helicopter Egg Drop | Langford Rec Center, St Paul
A helicopter drops Easter eggs into Langford Park. (Limit 5 eggs per child all ages.) 1-2pm.

The Giant Egg Hunt | McDonough Rec Center, St Paul
Egg hunt, prizes, activities and refreshments. Games aimed at ages 12 and under. 1-4pm.

Spring Celebration | Hancock Rec Center, St. Paul
Carnival games, crafts, bouncy house. Free and open to all. 5-7pm.

Eggsperiment | East Phillips Park, Minneapolis
Hop on down the patio trail and find some eggs along the way. Activities include a craft project, some refreshments, maybe the bunny hop and some treats for all! 6:30-8pm.

Flashlight Egg Hunt | McRae Park, Minneapolis
Participants must be in the park building by 7:40pm to participate in the egg hunt at dusk. Park staff will be hiding the eggs outside while kids make glow-in-the dark crafts inside. No registration necessary. 7-8pm.

Flashlight Egg Hunt | Creekview Park, Minneapolis
Bring your flashlight! No need to register but you must be present by 8pm to hunt. For children 7 and under. 8-9pm.

Mill City Church Annual Northeast Easter Egg Hunt | Logan Park, Minneapolis
Register at the event. 9am-2pm.

Community Egg Hunt | Lake Nokomis Park, Minneapolis
Enjoy a morning of treats, activities, face painting, picture taking with Peter Rabbit and join the allergy free egg hunt. 10am-12pm.

Kenwood Park Egg Hung Age 2 & Under | Minneapolis
This will be run simultaneously with an egg hunt for older kids, which is not free (see paid egg hunts). Enjoy face painting, art with ARTrageous Adventures, and a visit from Peter Rabbit. Coffee, juice and light breakfast food provided. 10-11:30am.

Bunny Party & Egg Hunt | Windom Park NE, Minneapolis
Windom Park hosts ages 7-12 with games, a bounce house, children’s egg hunt and more. Audubon Park has another party for the little kids (see paid events). 12-2pm.

Spring Egg Hunt | Farview Park, Minneapolis
Fun springtime activities, games, giveaways, food, and an exciting egg hunt. This event is for all ages but activities are designed for ages 1 – 12. All families are welcome. 12-3pm.

Lunch with the Bunny | Jimmy Lee Rec Center, St. Paul
Carnival games, crafts, bouncy house, visit with the Easter bunny and an Easter egg hunt. Free and open to all. 1-3pm.

Egg Hunt | Waite Park, Minneapolis
Sponsored by nearby Waite Park Church (not MPRB) and held at the park, this egg hunt is aimed at kids, toddler through 5th Grade. Pre-Registration Available. 10am-12pm.

Spring Holiday Party | Arlington Hills Community Center, St Paul
Arts and crafts activities, food, games, fun, and community. 12-2pm.

Spring Celebration | Linwood Rec Center, St. Paul
May Day flower activity, face painting, spring crafts, refreshments & bounce house. Free and all ages. 11:30am-1:30pm.

Great United Noodles Easter Egg Hunt | 2015 E. 24th Street, Minneapolis | 150 Easter Eggs filled with candy and prizes among their grocery store aisles for kids to discover; egg decorating contest, face painting and special guests. 10-11:30am.


Egg Hunt | Painter Park, Minneapolis
Enjoy an egg hunt, arts and crafts, and visit from the Bunny himself. 11am-12:30pm. $5/resident; $8/non-resident, register in advance.

Breakfast with the Bunny | North Dale Rec Center, St. Paul
Enjoy a pancake breakfast, take photos with the bunny, enjoy games & crafts, and pick an egg out of the big egg basket. 10-11:30am. $2/pp.

Brunch with the Bunny | Edgcumbe Rec Center, St. Paul
Enjoy a light continental breakfast, enjoy activities, a bounce house and an egg hunt. 11am-1pm, $10/family.

James J. Hill House Easter Egg Hunt | St. Paul
The Hill House hosts their annual outdoor egg hunt for kids ages 2-7 (BYO basket.) Win prizes, enjoy a snack, hear stories and look around the first floor of the elegant home. Reservations strongly encouraged. 10-11am. $8/child, adults free.

Dusk Hunt | Merriam Park Recreation Center, St. Paul
Families are invited to play games, make crafts, and enjoy a petting zoo! Dress for the elements because the egg hunt is out in the park. 5:30pm-8pm. $5/pp, kids 3 & under free.

Armatage/Kenny Egg Hunt | Armatage Park Rec Center, Minneapolis
Enjoy an egg hunt, caricature artist, arts and crafts, live bunnies, and a light continental breakfast. Hunt begins at 11 am sharp. Pre-registration required. 10-11:30am, $5-$8/pp.

Bunny Party & Egg Hunt | Audubon Park Rec Centers, Minneapolis
While Windom Park hosts the bigger kids (see free events), Audubon Park hosts a Bunny Party for kids ages 6 and under from 9am-11am. Pre-registration is required to receive a treat bag. $6/child.

Bunny Brunch & Big Egg Hunt | Sibley Rec Center, Minneapolis
Start off with the bunny brunch if desired (pancakes, sausage, fruit, coffee and juice served 9:30-11:00am, $7/adults, $5/kids). FREE activities include: egg coloring, games, egg hunt, face painting and a magic show. 9:30am-12:30pm.

Kenwood Park Egg Hunt Ages 3-11 | Minneapolis

Spring Fling Egg Hunt | Linden Hills Park, Minneapolis
Event includes a light brunch, puppet show, art projects, candy treats, live bunnies for the kids to pet, and the big egg hunt. Space is limited and must be reserved in advance. Adults do not need to register, however, email lindenhills@minneapolisparks.org if you plan to bring more than 2 adults per child. 10-11:30am, $5-$8/pp.

GAI Egg Hunt | Germanic American Institute, St. Paul
The Osterhase brings eggs filled with candy and token that can be exchanged for prizes and toys. Also, paint eggs, make Easter crafts. Bring an Easter basket and dress for the weather

Easter at the Castle | American Swedish Institute, Minneapolis
Hunt for Easter eggs in the Turnblad Mansion, make Easter craft, meet the Easter Witch, and decorate an Easter tree with feathers.Easter traditions will be explored through creative storytelling, music, handcraft, and more. Sold out last year. Register early. 9-10:30am, $15 child.

Outdoor Easter Egg Hunt | American Swedish Institute, Minneapolis
Hunt for Easter eggs outdoors, rain or shine. Dress for the weather. Register early. 2pm, $15 child.

Egg Hunt and Pancake Breakfast | Lyndale Farmstead Park, Minneapolis
Egg hunt, arts and crafts, pancake breakfast and visit from the Bunny himself. Ages 6 and under will hunt at 11am. Age 7 and older will hunt at 11:15am. Pre-registration required. 10am-12pm, $5/pp.

Spring Fling – Egg Hunt | City Hall Park, Lino Lakes
Egg hunt begins promptly at 6:15pm. Goodie bags, refreshments, craft projects and photos with the Bunny inside senior center. Pre-Registration required by 3/27/20 or when full. 125 spots available. 6-8pm, $10/child (kids 10 and under.)

Hunts divided by age and a visit from the Easter Bunny. 10am-12pm.

Largest Egg Hunt in Blaine | Northpoint Elementary School, Blaine
Organized by Renovation Church, there are free hunts after every service (attendance required) – April 11th at 10:00am, 11:30am, 2:00pm, & 3:30pm. April 12th at 9:00am, 10:15am, & 11:30am. There will be 40,000 eggs filled with candy, stickers, and prizes from donors like Chick-fil-A and Culver’s. 3 different age zones (0-3, 4-6, 7-11).

Spring Lake Park Lions Easter Egg Hunt | Lakeside Lions Park, Spring Lake Park | 11:30am-1:30pm | Sign your child in between 11:30am-12:15pm. Ages 2-4 begins at 12:40, ages 5-7 at 1pm, ages 8 & up at 1:20pm. Bags provided. Donations of non-perishable food items will be collected.

Indoor Egg Hunt | Imagine Church, Otsego | Kids Pre-K through 5th Grade can participate in an indoor egg hunt during either the 9:15am or 10:45am service. Find the golden egg and get a special prize.

Egg Surprise | Eastman Nature Center, Dayton | 1-3pm | Reuse colorful plastic eggs and create a unique bird treat. Check out a few eggs found in nature. Drop in anytime.

The Lakes Eggstravaganza Egg Hunt | Lakeside Commons Park, Blaine

Breakfast with the Bunny | Blaine City Hall
Four reservation times on the hour. Continental breakfast, craft, and photos with bunny. $10 resident; $11 non-resident, includes one child/one adult. Reservations required. 9am-noon.

Natural Egg Dyeing | Eastman Nature Center, Dayton
Dye beautiful eggs with natural foods. Please bring a dozen hard-boiled eggs. 10am-noon, $5 per dozen eggs.

Eggstravaganza | Oliver Kelley Farm, Elk River
This interactive “eggstravaganza” workshop helps family members explore ways to color and decorate hard-boiled eggs, and also prepare and eat them in salads, snacks, and main dishes. 9-11am, $10/pp.

Art When the Moon Is Full: Egg Moon | Silverwood Park, St Anthony
Create a string-art wall hanging inspired by spring. Discover what eggs are hiding in Silverwood Park. Reservations required. 7-8:30pm, $6/pp.

Eggstravaganza | Eastman Nature Center, Dayton
Play games, see live bunnies, and get egg-citing treats. Bring hard-boiled eggs to dye naturally. Pre-register. 10am-2pm, $5-$6/pp.

Vadnais Heights Easter Egg Hunt | Community Park, Vadnais Heights
Staggered start times are as follows: 2 yrs & under – 10:30 am, 3-4 yrs at 10:40 am, 5-6 yrs at 10:50am, 7-9 yrs at 11am, 10-12 yrs at 11:10am. The Easter Bunny will visit while you hunt for eggs redeemable for prizes. Non-perishable food items will be collected for the Vadnais Heights Community Food Program.

PCOTW Egg Hunt | Presbyterian Church of the Way, Shoreview
Toy & candy filled eggs hidden around the church; hunts by age group; activities, entertainment, photo opps and the Easter Bunny. 10am-12pm.

Hide & Peep Egg Hunt | Maplewood Mall
A family-fun Egg Hunt egg-stravaganza at Maplewood Mall’s Center Court, plus FREE* activities like crafts and scavenger egg hunting! 1-3pm.

Easter Egg Hunt | Prince of Peace, Roseville
5,000 eggs (food, allergy-friendly and non food options). Games and activities at 1pm. Egg Hunt begins at 1:30pm. All are welcome to this all-ages event.

Easter Egg Hunt | Grace Church, Roseville
Kick off Easter with an egg hunt for kids up to 4th Grade. Egg hunt is at 5:15. Services are at 4:00 and 6:30. Attend services before or after the egg hunt.

Easter Bunny Breakfast & Egg Hunt | Bruentrup Farm, Maplewood

Community Egg Hunts | Rich Valley Athletic Complex, Inver Grove Heights
Traditional for ages 3-10 and Flashlight for ages 10-13. All hunts are held rain or shine! And require pre-registration.

Excellent Egg Frenzy | HealthEast Sports Center, Woodbury
Bring your bucket to collect up to 10 toy-filled eggs around the outdoor softball fields then meet-and-greet the bunny. 0-2 yrs/6:30pm, 3-4 yrs/6:45pm, 5-7 yrs/7pm.

Farmington Fire Department Easter Egg Hunt | Dakota City Heritage Village
Kids ages 12 and under are invited to hunt for their share of 10,000+ eggs spread amongst 3 age group areas and 1 sensory area. There will be carnival games and other fun activities as well! Food and monetary donations will be accepted, but are not required, for Caring Hearts in Action, Minnesota. 12pm.

Easter Eggstravaganza | Good Shepherd Lutheran Church & School, Burnsville
Kids 10 & under are invited to egg hunt according to age plus enjoy many other Easter activities. 2-5pm.

Rosemount Lions Club Spring Egg Hunt | Ames Soccer Complex, Rosemount

Minnesota’s Largest Outdoor Egg Hunt | Southland City Church, Rosemount

Grab a flashlight and hunt for candy and toy-filled eggs. Recommended for kids ages 6-13 with adult. 8:15pm, $5-$7/pp.

Aqua Egg Hunt | Rich Valley Athletic Complex, Inver Grove Heights

Egg Trail & Rabbit Habits | Richardson Nature Center, Bloomington
Hike to hunt for colorful wooden eggs and fact-filled rabbits, take a photo with a giant, friendly rabbit and meet live animals. Create a craft and enjoy a snack. Pre-register. 9:30am-12:30pm, $5-$6/pp.

Spring Eggstravaganza: Rock Hunting | Lowry Nature Center, Victoria
Bring your baskets and hunt for colored rocks (ages 2-8) or secret messages (ages 8-adult) hidden along the trails then swap for a bag of goodies. Make bunny ears, get your face painted to look like a bunny, and decorate a wooden egg to bring home and meet live animals. Pre-register. 10am-3pm both days, $5-$6/pp.

Bunny Breakfast | Braemar Golf Course, Edina
Meet the Easter Bunny and enjoy breakfast, an egg hunt, crafts and photos. Pre-register. 9am, $15/pp.

Victorian Egg Roll | The Landing, Shakopee
Craft a mini basket and decorate a wooden egg. Play with old-fashioned toys and games, and explore the banks of the Minnesota River Valley. Refreshments served in the Town Hall. 10am-4pm, $5-$8/pp.

Geocaching for Eggs | Cleary Lake Regional Park, Prior Lake
Learn geocaching basics and use your new skills hunting for eggs. Reservations required. 9-11am, $8/pp.

Flashlight Egg Scramble | Savage Sports Center
Bring your flashlight! Registration required. 7pm activities; hunts: 8pm (ages 3-6); 8:30pm (ages 6-9). $6/child.

Easter Egg Candy Hunt | City Center Park, Chanhassen
For kids 12 & under: prize giveaways, a coloring contest, the candy hunt, and the Easter Bunny. Enter the coloring contest at the above link. 9am, $5/child.

Spring Extravaganza | Minnetonka Community Center, Minnetonka

    1. You are so right, Leo! Egg hunts would aid in cognitive development of children in the same way scavenger hunts do. But also they are just fun and usually come with candy.

    Is there anywhere that does adult easter egg hunts? My mother passed away on March 16th this year and she wanted to do an easter egg hunt for adults since in Missouri that past 2 years she participated. Our family would love to continue on this tradition, just wondering if Minnesota has one??
