Earth Day & Arbor Day in the Twin Cities!

Arbor Day, a traditional springtime holiday, celebrates not only the beauty but also the purpose of trees. Community events typically involve a stewardship piece, giving families a chance to plant a tree, for instance, or educational programs. Free admission to Minnesota State Parks 

Not that any old day isn’t a good one to get outdoors, here’s a special perk on National Get Outdoors Day: Regularly $7 per vehicle, admission is FREE to Minnesota State Parks & Recreation Areas to encourage families to get out and explore. Did you know there are 9 Minnesota State Parks & State Recreation Areas within an hour’s drive of the center of Minneapolis-St Paul? 

BLOOMINGTON Richardson Free Family Fun Day – Earth Day

CHASKA Arbor Day at Minnesota Landscape Arboretum

Take a self-guided trek to play Tree Bingo and learn more about trees on the arboretum grounds – then pick up your own free sapling to take home. Plus a tree-themed craft for kids. EDEN PRAIRIE Arbor Day Celebration
