Young Dance is an inclusive, creative-based dance school in St. Paul that offers classes for children and adults of all ages. They also offer occasional family-friendly public events including an annual miniature golf fundraiser in the spring, a fall festival and winter dance. Watch our calendar for events.

Young Dance School Year Session
Employing some of the best teaching artists in the Twin Cities, Young Dance offers a fun and developmentally appropriate curriculum in several styles and techniques, including classes in the following styles:
- Afro-Modern
- All Abilities Dancing
- Ballet
- Breaking
- Capoeira
- Creative Movement
- Choreography
- Dance Together
- Dancing with Baby
- Family Dance
- Hip Hop
- Jazz
- Modern
Classes run mid-September through late May. The final weekend of the session culminates in performances at the Luminary Arts Center.
Young Dance summer camps & classes
Outside of the school year, Young Dance offers summer camps for kids ages 1–18 that include a variety of styles. Registration opens at the end of February. Camps are held Monday through Thursdays, starting in June and run through August.
All Abilities Dance Classes
Young Dance offers All Abilities Dancing classes focus on the connective movement space of students with and without disabilities. They currently have three offerings:
- All Abilities Dancing 1: This class offers creative dance for kids between ages 7 to 11, with and without disabilities, and focuses on positive body awareness, creativity, teamwork, motor coordination, and personal expression.
- All Abilities Dancing 2:Â Children ages 11+ develop improvisation, partnering, and choreography skills while emphasizing communication, collaboration, and performance.
- All Abilities Dancing Online: A virtual Saturday afternoon class for youth with and without disabilities to dance together in their own spaces.
In addition to these specific classes, all classes at Young Dance are open to all skill levels and abilities and do not require previous experience. The classes are designed to allow students to learn at their own pace physically, while being challenged at an age-appropriate level. Â Parents are encouraged to reach out to discuss the most appropriate classes for their children.
Young Dance studio rental
Young Dance has two large studios available for rent in the Midway neighborhood of Saint Paul. Easily accessible by the Green Line light rail, the 16 and 67 Bus Lines, and ample parking in the Fairview Business Center parking lot. The space is fully ADA accessible with ramps to the sprung studio floor and automatic door openers.
