The bigger of Plymouth’s two beach parks on Medicine Lake, West Medicine Lake Park is over 70 acres and has family-friendly features that include a guarded beach, a playground, a boat launch, bike trails along with racks to park your bikes, sports courts, picnic facilities and trails. Portable restrooms are available.

Bike together. This park is close to the Luce Line Regional Trail, and Medicine Lake Regional Trail and connects to several other parks and trails. It has bike racks available so you can park your bikes while visiting the park.
Shoot a game of HORSE on the basketball court
Pack a picnic to eat in the picnic shelter or find a grassy space to spread a blanket. There are grills available if you want to make your picnic a cookout.
Sail the seas on the pirate-themed playground.

Birthday parties at West Medicine Lake Park

Families can rent the picnic shelter for birthday parties and other private events. Reservations need to be made at least 2 weeks in advance and can be made as early January 1st of the same year. Learn more here.

Fishing in Medicine Lake

If you would like to fish, this park does have a boat launch, but the DNR recommends the French Regional Park pier for fishing Medicine Lake. The lake holds bluegill, crappie, northern pike, largemouth bass, walleye, yellow perch, bullhead and carp.
