Although it is really just one big park, Huset Park is divided into East and West. The western portion of Huset Park is the larger of the two parks bisected by Jefferson Street NE in Columbia Heights. It is a busy, colorful park with four ball fields, a playground with ride-on dinosaurs (see our picture), a splash pad, a reservable picnic shelter and a walking trail that loops around a small pond. This park hosts Columbia Heights Jamboree carnival, entertainment and fireworks each year in late June.

Huset Park Splash Pad
The splash pad is generally open from 11am-7pm from the first day of the district’s summer vacation through Labor Day.

If you’ve got kids who love dinos, this maybe the park for you.
