What better way to celebrate our planet than learning more about our local environment and the Mississippi River. Located inside the Science Museum of Minnesota building, but separately run by the National Parks Service, this small museum is FREE* to visit.Â
*If you would like to combine this visit with a visit to the science museum, regular SMM admission fees apply.

The Mississippi National River & Recreation Area Visitor Center is located just inside the lobby of SMM. Watch videos, read books and enjoy the interactive exhibits about the Mississippi River. You can also join the Junior Ranger program or turn in your booklets here. READ MORE»
