Woodridge Park in Cottage Grove sits on 50 acres of natural land to explore. Its main draw is the new destination playground that is fully ADA accessible and contains a challenge course for bigger kids. Restroom facilities are on site.

8 Ideas for Family Fun at Woodridge Park

  1. Visit for the destination playground. This ADA Accessible Inclusive Playground & Challenge Course is worth the drive from Minneapolis/St. Paul. Bonus that it tends to be less crowded then parks closer to the center of the metro area.
  2. Take a family walk or hike. You’ll find trails behind the play area to explore.
  3. Bring a playground ball to play kickball on the baseball diamond or one-on-one on the basketball court.
  4. Pack a picnic. The park has shelters, picnic tables and grilling.
  5. Make music – There is a large outdoor musical section on playground.
  6. Go pond dipping.
  7. Sled. When it snows, this is one of 8 sledding parks in Cottage Grove.
  8. Ice skate – The park has a free outdoor ice rink during outdoor skating season (mid-December to mid-February)

Playground Baby Area

A dedicated baby area on the playground has baby swings and a safe crawl space for the non-walking members of the family. Test the ground before setting your crawler down, on sunny days, the surface can get hot.
