Next door to the Xcel Energy Center, The Saint Paul RiverCentre, a convention and exhibit hall in downtown St. Paul, Minnesota, is one of the largest multipurpose convention facilities in the Upper Midwest. It is the venue for a variety of special events including concerts, trade shows, community events and banquets.

Many of their events at this entertainment venue are industry related and not particularly family-focused. However, there are a handful of events each year that families will enjoy, including:

  • Minnesota Roller Derby matches (held in the Legendary Roy Wilkins Auditorium — part of the RiverCentre entertainment complex)
  • Concerts
  • Dog shows
  • Family festivals. The former Festival of Nations was annually hosted at the RiverCentre. Other cultural festivals are also often hosted here.
  • Kid-friendly expos. The Twin Cities Marathon Health & Fitness Expo is traditionally held here.
