Painter Park and Recreation Center are located right off Lyndale Avenue in Southwest Minneapolis. Family friendly amenities include a playground with a tot lot, a Little Free Library and sports courts and fields. This park also has restroom facilities and a drinking fountain.
Summer Meals at Painter

Painter Park Recreation Center
The recreation center has a family game room, a community kitchen, a craft room, a meeting room and a multipurpose room. The building was updated over the winter of 2018-19 and reopened in April 2019. The most significant update was the addition of air conditioning, offering another cool option for hot summer days (find a list of free, air-conditioned buildings here). Other updates included some remodeling of the lobby and reception desk, better lighting, and updates to ADA-compliant accessibility.
